I don’t think she was, I think she is working separate from the campaign like Lin Wood

2020-11-23 01:28:45 UTC

@AdamS Yeah, I called that she didn't have the goods

2020-11-23 01:29:04 UTC

Was trying to inject herself into this even though she has zero election law experience.

2020-11-23 01:29:05 UTC

But The kraken never made the argument worded technically, she outright accused dominion and the democrats of mass fraud

2020-11-23 01:29:06 UTC

@DrSammyD Powell never seemed credible to me either.

2020-11-23 01:29:26 UTC

OK, fine, then how is she protected from defamation?

2020-11-23 01:29:41 UTC

I would genuinely like to see something if it exists but if it doesn’t then move on

2020-11-23 01:29:43 UTC

FYI defamation doesn't apply to groups, thanks Barnes

2020-11-23 01:30:25 UTC

My legal knowledge is limited in the US and so are my discord skills. I’m new to the platform

2020-11-23 01:30:26 UTC

@AdamS, you just advanced to level 2!

2020-11-23 01:30:29 UTC

@realz are you watching the stream right now?

2020-11-23 01:30:34 UTC

I can’t quite figure out what they are up to yet. I know dominion missed some sort of meeting with state officials last week

2020-11-23 01:30:55 UTC

@AdamS you keep trying to mire me in arguments i probably agree with you on. All I am nitpicking is that you cannot know that there is no widespread voter fraud, even if there are several attempts to prove it that have failed

2020-11-23 01:31:00 UTC

It's all about what can be proven. Best to keep an open mind until it is proven.

2020-11-23 01:31:16 UTC

@AdamS I don't really need you to agree with _me_ on _this_, because I _can_ prove that you _can't_ know

2020-11-23 01:31:30 UTC

I’m not arguing with you brother. Not at all. I’m sure we agree on many things

2020-11-23 01:31:38 UTC

alrighty 🙂

2020-11-23 01:31:44 UTC

Powell said days ago that she isn’t paid by trump or his campaign. I think Ellis’s statement is more of a technical clarification

2020-11-23 01:32:16 UTC

I saw it a CYA in case Powell comes up short. Nothing more or less.

2020-11-23 01:32:24 UTC

@linuxace That's all well and good, but how long is reasonable to wait? They're still trying to prove that Oswald didn't act alone. That was fishy, too.

2020-11-23 01:32:36 UTC

They are obviously working collaboratively. But Ellis and Giuliani are PAID by Trump, Powell is not.

2020-11-23 01:33:25 UTC

I think that is a fair point. Two weeks is just too short for me. If it drags on past the first of the year, all credibility for me will be gone at that point. That is fair amount of time in my opinion.

2020-11-23 01:33:40 UTC

Also Powell said she plans to sue in Georgia first. And trump is about to do a recount there. Maybe they need to make the distinction that they aren’t the same group?

2020-11-23 01:33:42 UTC

Powell said she had a firehose of evidence in an interview on 11/8 and said she was filing suit in a couple of days, at the time. You don't have to have your entire case ready when you file.

2020-11-23 01:34:41 UTC

If the bulk of the fraud comes from a hack in electronic machines, it will be extremely hard to overturn. Vulnerability of electronic voting should have been addressed before the election. You'd need absolute smoking-gun evidence to have it count.

2020-11-23 01:34:52 UTC

Again, I have not taken a position on Powell's evidence. I think time will indicate the trustworthiness of her statements.

2020-11-23 01:35:30 UTC

I’ve unfortunately already taken my position on her evidence. I’ve never seen anything like this before

2020-11-23 01:36:24 UTC

Powell is the victim of a dis-info campaign. I've said this for a week now.

2020-11-23 01:36:47 UTC

At one point of time people had never seen a black swan before as well. That didn't mean they didn't exist.

2020-11-23 01:36:56 UTC

We can look forward to separate press conferences now. Do we have an official roster of Trump's legal team, in order to avoid these unreasonable inferences? Or maybe they can continue to be jettisoned, when they become too embarrassing.

2020-11-23 01:36:58 UTC

Thank you. Sometimes I feel like I’m taking crazy pills listening to the theories

2020-11-23 01:37:15 UTC

as in Powell mistakenly believed disinformation

2020-11-23 01:37:24 UTC

I've not ruled that out as well. In fact that was my first thought.

2020-11-23 01:37:33 UTC

(and not that the media is spreading disinformation about her)

2020-11-23 01:37:39 UTC

See here

2020-11-23 01:37:55 UTC

Well she said she has evidence

2020-11-23 01:38:04 UTC

Robert suggested that the other day

2020-11-23 01:38:04 UTC

Believing in disinformation doesn't make a lawyer forget what legal evidence looks like. Come on. @realz

2020-11-23 01:38:26 UTC

@linuxace The first of the year?? All of the data has been ready for analysis for a while now. Recounts have been ordered and completed or about to be completed. People have been offering rewards and whistleblowers are rewarded handsomely (the USPS guy had a GoFundMe reach $150K in 2 days. If anyone was going to come forward, they would have by now and anyone that comes forward now is unlikely to have any evidence to back up their claims. What do expect to happen with 6 more weeks?

2020-11-23 01:38:33 UTC

Yep. I could have sworn that he read my comment live on stream 😄

2020-11-23 01:38:38 UTC

😄
