There should be investigation but at the same time many of the claims have turned out to be false. The reason there is so much backlash and derision is a combination of being jerked around and that the "centrist" media is not centrist.

That and most people knew trump would throw a fit if he lost. He was telegraphing it for months. He was looking for fraud to justify his accusation of their being fraud and his unwillingness to concede. All that turned up was nothing out of the ordinary and the same thing his win was also subject to like voter machines

@ScottSnowden let’s go through some options of “Tape-Gate”.

If I want to align the piece of tape exactly aligned over the button/oval on the Scanner where it would align to mask the filled in area where the Trump marking on the ballot would appear such as no Trump votes were counted, that would be the reason for an Undervote (none of the candidates were marked, no write-in either, i.e. hand written name of candidate because the other listed prequalified names wasn’t your guy). Thus massive number of missing Trump votes. You don’t need to “be physically rigging” a bunch of machines, just enough to be significant to alter the outcome. You could intersperse rigged machines among straight machines but this would need to be introduced in main ballot counting centers under the control of Boards of Election officials and monitors. If you rig too many machines the numbers would be too far off.

Typically there is a 2% audit matching hand counted ballots to machine counted ballots, with exception reported. Most Precincts are/must be counted to insure one isn’t rigging that locations vote by corrupt officials there. Auditing could catch some of that or show that it is just a Democratic stronghold (LOL, yah right).

Placing tape in a high speed scanner could cause jamming events, plus tape could ware away over time because go the friction of ballots passing over the tape, but there is some tape material which wouldn’t ware out as much.

In regards to an Overvote rigging event to force all Trump votes as spoiled (too many candidates selected), the tape doesn’t work because it would also cause Biden votes to foul, same happens for the 3rd party candidate, Jorgensen. The dirty machine explanation works best, or a software rigged machine better, such as false reading to spoil one type of candidate selection randomizes.

Because of the very low number of ballots selected for an Audit of 2% of the vote in precincts and voting centers (remember most votes in Arizona were cast in Early Voting locations around the counties, in Maricopa County 73.81%, and just 6.47% done on Election Day).

My contentions align with the need to have clean, inspected and calibrated scanners, as well as high-speed tabulation machines. The ballot folding issue needs to be researched more to find a solution in missing the voter’s selection above and below the fold, or maybe pre-folded areas around the ballot should not be used because of the frequencies of Undervote from that area, or just don’t fold the ballots in the first place. Ballots need to be constructed with self-auditing methodology to alert the operation that miscounting is taken place because of “Dirty machines” which need to be taken Out-of-Service for maintenance, cleaning, calibration and inspection, then re-Certified for reintroduction for tabulation service.

In Florida each voting location have one or multiple scanners so that the votes are tabulated real-time. There isn’t a need to bundle up the ballots, transport them to a main center. Once the polls close the Precinct uploads their results to the county election center, who accumulate voter totals for the entire country and forward those results up to the state election center. If re-Scanning (a Recount is necessary, the prescient can just rescan).

@ScottSnowden regarding your other comment of ballots being run through the tabulation machines multiple times by taping over the ballot’s security or certificate number to try stopping the tabulation equipment from auditing multiple passes through the tabulation process.

That would assume that those security measures are in place and that data captured, updated and distributed around the centers for marking duplication of votes from being introduced into the count.

I don’t think these procedures are in place, but trusting the operation/personal from allowing those events for occurring, accidentally or on purpose.

Trust, but verify... then re-verify the verified... then audit to insure that errors and fraud doesn’t occur.
