But even if the post office is slow wouldn’t the ballot till be postmarked before or on November 3d?

2020-11-24 15:55:15 UTC

Normally but in some states they have odd rules where if the ballot is late despite it being postmarked it doesn’t get counted

2020-11-24 15:56:00 UTC

That is what the trump administration is fighting in Pennsylvania where 10000 late ballots arrived however they were post marked before or on Election Day

2020-11-24 15:57:12 UTC

The individual state legislators established their election law, which run the term of the election window... if they need to be changed, the next legislative body determines that, the courts don’t change election law, nor do the Secretary of State... nor Governors. If the laws are unconstitutional, then the courts can be involved..,

2020-11-24 15:57:53 UTC

It is by state but the post office is federal

2020-11-24 15:58:21 UTC

Trump was trying to slow down the post office so ballots would arrive outside of that window

2020-11-24 15:58:31 UTC

State Law says, received by the Board of Elections by the Election Day on or before the polls close.

2020-11-24 15:58:31 UTC

@Dan_Sundin, you just advanced to level 5!

2020-11-24 15:59:31 UTC

Thus voters being faulted for something they had no control over

2020-11-24 15:59:35 UTC

I have seen the proof. Over vote of almost 78K in Nevada, according to official Secretary of State documents. The bigger question in all of this, why isn’t main stream media covering this? Why are the calling Biden “president elect” before the electors have met, this is a coup against our govt - and I’m independent and didn’t even like him before based on what I’ve heard; after researching he has done more for this country than any president since Reagan. And I am not biased, I don’t watch news. This is from researching facts

2020-11-24 15:59:39 UTC

Just do your job and vote early, mail or in person.

2020-11-24 15:59:48 UTC

@jodib post proof

2020-11-24 16:00:51 UTC

They did vote early , and voted legally yet their votes can be omitted due to the post office messing up , thus penalizing the voter even though they did everything correctly @Dan_Sundin

2020-11-24 16:01:24 UTC

@james j Everyone knows when the ballots are due and most ppl who vote by mail don’t wait until the last minute to send their ballot.

2020-11-24 16:01:47 UTC

Hang on I’ll get your proof

2020-11-24 16:02:01 UTC

@james j In 2016 we expected the margins to be close. And because of media lies, I mistakenly thought Trump was as bad as Clinton. So, I voted for the only awakened mind that appeared to be left: Jill Stein. Then I discovered the MSM are LIARS, Trump is a GREAT President, the Democratic Party are Communists, the Corporate RINO's are collaborators, and this election is about whether or not the United States and Lockean Principle will continue to exist on earth.

2020-11-24 16:02:12 UTC

The technical description of an Overvote is when a voter marks two (or more entries for a ballot contest that calls for just one entry. In some contest there can be more than one entry, like two or three.

2020-11-24 16:02:23 UTC

@jodib yet it’s their right to wait , that is not illegal. The point is it’s not their fault for the post office messing up . Which again is why trying to slow down the post office was a move to disenfranchise voters

2020-11-24 16:03:20 UTC

There was No intent to "slow down" the post office for the election. The slow down was because the new director was attempting to get a handle on all the excessive overtime.

2020-11-24 16:03:43 UTC

@Whithers great , I am talking about the same people who voted for trump and didn’t say anything last election when the margins were much closer. These same people will tell you they care about voter fraud in general however their behaviors don’t match up

2020-11-24 16:03:59 UTC

I think the Overvote vote you are referring to in Nevada is regarding to having more votes collected in precincts than are registered to vote in that precinct. Which is confusing l. I’ll admit.

2020-11-24 16:05:03 UTC

@Whithers the post office did in-fact slow down and people were not getting their medication. Sure you can believe there was no intent but the actions say otherwise. Especially knowing the election was coming up and many people majority democrat would vote by mail

2020-11-24 16:05:41 UTC

Rudy Giuliani said as much, some precincts had 2 to 3 times the population including children vote.

2020-11-24 16:05:45 UTC

Yes, the post office slowed down but not for the reason you ascribe.

2020-11-24 16:05:57 UTC

Gulianni has zero proof of any of his claims

2020-11-24 16:06:17 UTC

And in 2016 we were not aware we were voting to keep the Constitution from being erased by domestic enemies of our nation.

2020-11-24 16:06:17 UTC

it is all public record.

2020-11-24 16:06:26 UTC

Making cuts, removing machines , and defunding all contributed to the post office slowing down during a election year

2020-11-24 16:06:54 UTC

The Overvote & Undervote issues that have been facings voters in this year as in past is the Disenfranchisement issue I’m addressing with the initial post/comment.

2020-11-24 16:07:05 UTC

@Jorgen Johnson did any votes make it through it such volume that it would make a difference. Illegal voted get cast every year. Not enough to ever make a difference

2020-11-24 16:07:45 UTC

Cutting excessive overtime hours, removing machines that need replaced and cost too much to maintain, and attempting to get a handle on costs was not intended to affect the election.\

2020-11-24 16:08:03 UTC

@Whithers that’s just propaganda , these trump people say it’s all about voting. This is clearly not the case, they would be better off admitting their partisanship and deal with the fact they are only doing this because they lost

2020-11-24 16:08:14 UTC

No, those are facts.

2020-11-24 16:08:22 UTC

The number of over votes in Detroit alone is over 200k. The NV over vote would turn that state to trump. The over vote in Michigan would also give it to Trump.

2020-11-24 16:09:47 UTC

@jodib post proof that any votes of that magnitude were cast and tabulated into the state totals. That is what you need to do in order to prove fraud.

2020-11-24 16:09:52 UTC

maybe it is not about throwing out huge buckets of votes, but a bunch of little buckets could make a difference

2020-11-24 16:09:54 UTC

I don't have a problem admitting that I am partisan against racist, sexist, ethnophobic, antithresceptic, anti-American, Marxist theocrats. I swore against them in the 1980's and proudly proclaimed Kill a Commie for Mommy and I still hold that position.

2020-11-24 16:10:20 UTC

Trumps direct quote “They need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,”

2020-11-24 16:10:27 UTC

He knew what he was doing

2020-11-24 16:10:31 UTC

The post office didn’t mess up. Your partisanship is clearly showing. They had a deadline. So what you’re saying is the same as “I know Christmas is Dec 25th, and I have to mail gifts, but I’m going to wait until 12/24 to mail them and blame the post office that they didn’t arrive in time. That’s a cop out
