@Repeat, you just advanced to level 11!
I agree
Maybe congress should start there. Stoping president censorship

@busillis, you just advanced to level 1!
I don’t want to limit big tech company’s freedom of speech, but I also don’t want the president to be censored. The compromise is having a presidential alert system where he updates it once a week.
He would like to censor the media when they publish his audio recordings.. grab them by the p*** , all the scientists are morons, fauci should be fire, telling his friends this is deadly stuff , etc etc..
How about no one is censored, big tech, you, me, POTUS etc. Like let’s write it into the constitution or something that says we have freedom of speech🤣
Big tech is definitely censoring our voices.
We may suspend or terminate your account or cease providing you with all or part of the Services at any time for any or no reason, including, but not limited to, if we reasonably believe: (i) you have violated these Terms or the Twitter Rules and Policies or
But freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from liability. That is if you falsely accused someone of something and that ruins a reputation then they have the ability to sue you on a court of law and seek recompense for the damage you've caused them. Social media platforms have always asserted that they are just a platform for free speech and therefore not liable for the content that speech. But when they edit content then an argument goes away.
has anyone read through the twitter Terms of service
Its their business... their policies..its like a restaurant. .. that dont want costumers with baggy pants sneakers and hats... are they censoring this kind of costumers
Agree! Absolutely. I do feel senate is beginning to narrow this argument.
it basically says they can do whatever they want
@MatiLuc restaurants aren't typically subsidized by the government to the extent big tech companies have been.
They bail out all the time
It saw someone mention it was like a Trojan horse. I do agree with that. But they shouldn’t be selectively bias. Waiting behind the trees to strike at the most important time of our country. Surely they’ll find a way to make them accountable.
The government give money to Google and FB. ?
@MatiLuc much of the technology used by the tech companies comes from government research.
That was true 30 to 40 years ago but not so much anymore
The network itself is from a DARPA project.
Im guessing the gov. Wants part of that company then. Wouldn't be that becoming a commi. Or socialist government
Originally the government are the people that laid out the groundwork for the internet as it existed up until around 10-15 years ago is the argument some people seem to be making right now.
Then private companies began to lay down updated technology into networks.
It has to link back to free speech somehow. Perhaps policies like that become prohibited?
They need to control their own news network
I don’t know the answer. This is what we pay our senators to do.
My point is if the president says ..my MAGA people go and attack Chinese people. That should not be spread
that is how we got into this mess in the first place
@Repeat I would argue that tech company control speech for the investment banks.
The president controls nuclear weapons...
@busillis In which case you reduce the population controlled to passive victims.
When he said Covid19 is a hoax . That is a dangerous message
He’s the president
