Oh this has happened for a long while, since I was in my early/mid-twenties.
Yeah character flaw of mine when it's a subject i care about.
Which is where i am ... ish..
I think the PA supreme court ruled on the unconstitutionality argument last night and it didn't fly, no?
Then you're still very young, and you should cherish every moment you have with your youth!
Am I right in sayin PA has gone slightly rogue?
In the parnell case it didnt
Unless there is an update
Don’t sweat it just recognize when you’re getting emotional and bring it back. It doesn’t help your arguments to be getting emotional
As far as i know, the parnell case claiming constitutionallity was accepted on its merrits
The trump case gor dismissed with prejudice... but that was just a call to amend the claim no?
Pa sc is totally rogue the opinion in the lasted case is ridiculous. Dismissed bc the claim wasnt brought in a timely manner such bs
The opinion was more elegant than that. It was based on the convenient timing of the objection to the constitutionality and that American voters voted in good faith.
Yet if they guy brought the claim earlier he would’ve been dismissed for lacking standing bc he wasn’t a candidate at the time of the regulation being passed. Totally political ruling it’s horrible
Yeah I agree I read the opinion I’m just paraphrasing
Maybe political, idk. But that the Trump appointee wrote the opinion was probably not mere coincidence.
Zulu. Insight on my parnell comment?
Hang on. Let me find it.
Thanks. I though as i said. It was challenging the const. Of mail in.
And was accepted. With opinion stating it might win on merrit.
Dont kbow what the relief asked was though
To me the logic to dismiss is ridiculous. Maybe I’m biased but after reading the constitution it’s seems very clear that act 77 is unconstitutional now determining a fair remedy is the issue. If the opinion was based on the claim that’s a diff story it was dismissed bc of a procedural/technicality reason that’s why I say it’s political
What about military absentee ballots though?
Looks like all the government wants Trump out office
Should we disenfranchise overseas voters?
Isn’t there a difference between Mail-in and absentee? Genuinely asking
Universal mail-in and absentee? Sure.
The military also has a few more options and extra leeway than the average person.
> Zulu. Insight on my parnell comment?
@andrasol Yes, that's the one we were talking about.
E.g: They can cast ballots before the ballots are actually printed in the state.
I don’t think that’s the same issue. Absentee military process is understood and constitutional and a small % of the votes. For the executive and judicial branches to amend the law is totally different
That’s what I mean.. I wouldn’t want to disenfranchise any overseas voters.. but the mass mail-in did seem like a problem waiting to happen..
It is a major problem, forget the constitutionality for a min. The management was inconsistent and poorly done. It’s one thing if they changed the rules and executed well, they changed the rules and it was a shit show.
Nov 28 Concurring Statement - 010782.pdf
It’s already a major problem I meant
Signature match etc, was a crazy idea in my mind 🙈
Zulu you were in the military yes?
I was.
You guys use federal forms to cast ballots overseas, yes?
FVAP yes?
Well they have to signature match military ballots too the new regs made it less stringent increasing the likelihood of fraud and mistakes
@robxtom, you just advanced to level 6!
