Trump claims he’s not a politician. He’s a man of the people.

2020-12-01 17:44:41 UTC

That's saying if the dominion vote count matches the paper ballot audit of course theres no weighted voting it matches

2020-12-01 17:44:44 UTC

> Very un-American.
@AdamS Oh I completely agree. I'm just putting myself in their position. Walking a mile in their moccasins

2020-12-01 17:44:45 UTC

Every and any politician will say that to the end of time.

2020-12-01 17:44:52 UTC

Highly debatable.

2020-12-01 17:45:14 UTC

I know bud.

2020-12-01 17:45:17 UTC

More of a business man imo

The legislature can decide on the electors sent under only 2 circumstances, as I understand it... (1) They prescribe that as the manner the state's electors are selected and they conduct that vote on election day - as set by the US Congress; or (2) in the case of a "failed" election where the manner specified was not able to be conducted/completed. The issue is that the term "failed" is not defined. If the manner prescribed was followed and it results in a slate of electors being selected, how can they unilaterally determine that the election was a failure and override the will of the people?

2020-12-01 17:45:19 UTC

Lol

2020-12-01 17:45:25 UTC

They only say supervisor.some one told me. And they name no one

2020-12-01 17:45:45 UTC

Personally with Trump I find it ironic he would claim to deport all the undocumented immigrants and yet still deported far fewer than Obama

2020-12-01 17:45:59 UTC

kinda a big fail

2020-12-01 17:46:15 UTC

How could we allow faithless electors to cast their votes?

2020-12-01 17:46:23 UTC

He focused on daca and lost

2020-12-01 17:46:29 UTC

That's what a biased expert sometimes does though skim over parts to make something seem like it's not and hope the opposing lawyers dont call it out 😋

2020-12-01 17:46:31 UTC

Yet we do.

2020-12-01 17:46:32 UTC

And they should be dismissed because of that? 🤔

2020-12-01 17:46:49 UTC

I think it's rarely done because voting against your constituents doesn't bode well for you in future elections

2020-12-01 17:46:59 UTC

Indeed.

2020-12-01 17:47:03 UTC

But it does work.

2020-12-01 17:47:04 UTC

People watching poll processes they don't understand and then assigning any meaning they like to them does not make compelling testimony.

2020-12-01 17:47:19 UTC

Faithless electors dont have constituents?

2020-12-01 17:47:31 UTC

Weren’t there 11 faithless electors in 2016?

2020-12-01 17:47:45 UTC

Zulu understands the mind of these poll watchers affidavit writers

2020-12-01 17:47:47 UTC

Might have been 13. Can’t recall 100%

2020-12-01 17:47:54 UTC

1 vote for Bernie Sanders and 1 vote for Gillstein as I recall

2020-12-01 17:48:06 UTC

there were a few more

2020-12-01 17:48:18 UTC

@yetiCodes no but.. u can see the Michigan hearing.. they said some of us might leave for personal matters. Or other duties Just submit ur statement by writing..

2020-12-01 17:48:23 UTC

She spoke to the fbi on the phone for 40mins lol very convincing. The phone disconnected. So if she is so apples by the fraud why didn’t she take further steps? This is her way to reveal the “truth”

2020-12-01 17:48:24 UTC

The electors are just citizens picked by the parties I'm pretty sure I've never voted for one

2020-12-01 17:48:28 UTC

It's up to the states whether they pursue enforcing faithless elector rules. At their case by case discretion.

2020-12-01 17:48:59 UTC

@Dedkraken It's not a direct democracy, remember?

2020-12-01 17:49:04 UTC

Back in a bit gotta step out

2020-12-01 17:49:17 UTC

We need to get Rob to flip this and now analyse this from the other side.

2020-12-01 17:49:23 UTC

states can pass laws to ensure that the legislature will vote based on direct democracy, but the constitution has a gray area of recognizing the state legislature as the castors of the vote.

2020-12-01 17:49:42 UTC

Yeah Maw adam 2 said they cant betray their constituents

2020-12-01 17:49:46 UTC

This senators are not going to pay attention to 6 + hours of statements

2020-12-01 17:50:01 UTC

yes and no, it's a bit of a gray area

2020-12-01 17:50:02 UTC

They absolutely can and have.

2020-12-01 17:50:07 UTC

As I understand it, we only choose the electors. The electors, the way the founders saw it, were not required to follow through with their pledge to vote for a candidate if they could not do so in good conscience. More recently, it has been determined that states can require that their electors remain faithful to their pledge, but that is relatively new and not all states have so mandated (I think something like 33 have).

2020-12-01 17:50:11 UTC

Throughout the entirety of the US history.
