They could never afford the advertising rates needed for this level of reach... Never. They are internationally known lawyers. What I took from Trumps gish gallop is he wants his lawyers, scotus, state legislatures, FBI, doj to step in and do something. That's pretty long shot it's looking like a do anything to stay in power than cohesive plan. I think if they had a strong chance Big Tobacco would have gone for it

I think it depends a bit on the Reps... if they go crazy with the filibuster like before, I think the Dems will be forced to take action and get rid of it. Nobody wants to, but they learned from 2010. It they are too passive in trying to get things done, they will pay at the polls in the midterm. I also think that as long as Roberts is able to rein in the SC, they will be able to stave off any desire to pack the court.

I'm not a fan of Trump. While I agree with some policy decisions I think he has been overall bad for the country. That being said, I don't trust Kamala Harris at all. I don't trust her because there is significant evidence that she was involved in decisions that resulted in minorities being jailed for significant amount of time for relatively minor offensives, that her professional decisions influence her personal relationships and vice versa and that she let ideological biases influence her decisions to pursue justice. I don't like Trump so I don't feel like I have to defend him to feel animosity toward Harris given her history.
