Agree to disagree... 4 years ago, I didn't think Trump would make it through a first term (not because of impeachment - I just didn't think he would take to it, because he didn't really want it) let alone run for reelection.
Anyone seen this documentary?

I could be wrong, but there are a lot of people on the left/democrats who are talking about Harris like she is already president. There is already an agenda that includes her as president.
I would put money on Biden not making it two year.
*years
Is Michael Flynn for real, Lin wood said the same yesterday....any chance of martial law being declared?
Sadly, no
Insanity if you ask me.
Martial law or military tribunal would be tragic they did replace some folks in Pentagon with trump folks. I dont think so though
It is. Just the type of insanity we need.
It would cascade into so many good 2nd and 3rd order effects.
I don’t think he has the support of General Milley or the rest of the armed forces for that matter.
The left would be forced to assert states rights.
Replacing the civilian leadership doesnt get the military behind you it makes them antsy
He would lose the support of most of his base who worship the constitution more than they worship him. I don't see it happening.
Hes made the generals and federal workforce quite upset
Yes he has.
Yep. His keys to power have always been fragile. Doubt any of it would work.
@DrSammyD, you just advanced to level 16!
It's a silly argument, but I think the infrastructure would be the same. CA is #1 agriculture producer in the country. CA is power grid is fairly self sufficient. Not worried about the rural areas. The $$ is in the urban - suburban areas. Concessions would be made to rural areas to keep it together. Even though Musk bitches about CA, the truth is that there would be no Tesla without CA. CA has bought half of all EV's made. We have oil, the Entertainment Industry, wine industry... Whatever we don't have, we'll have money to import. It's a fun thought experiment.
Lost of people say stuff. Biden seems pretty fit, all in all.
He’s talked about rejoining some of the international treaties/deals.
Didn't he just fracture his ankle playing with a dog?
I lived in CA and the South for years. Rural CA is way more conservative than the South and hate the cities and their state government. If there is a split I don't see those areas playing nice at all. Entertainment industry will be worthless in that case. Who is going to watch Marvel or Disney movies when basic needs aren't being met. Wine and most other agriculture is mostly rural. The biggest split in the U.S. is rural versus urban and I think most people underestimate how much rural areas loathe the urban areas.
You can take that 2 ways... He was rough-housing with a German Shephard? How many 78 year old's would be doing that? OR damn he's falling apart.
@linuxace I think the lefts greatest mistake was thinking they had the election in the bag in 2016. Should have voted and had a better last 4 years
I'm fully aware of the State of Jefferson folks. Their biggest issue is feeling like not having a say - we could make it worth their time.
Maybe...
The left did more to get Donald J Trump elected than the right ever could in my opinion.
Most Bernie supporters stayed at home in protests because the Dems stole Bernies nomination.
The fact that you even state it that way makes me think that you couldn't. Urban areas depend on rural areas for their survival, not the other way around like most people think. More likely, you better make it worth their time or else.
It is also possible that Biden becomes the first non-president.
President Not-Trump.
"anyone but him" has been a factor in European politics sometimes, as the whole thing regresses down to "Is this guy handsome?"
Absolutely... That's what I was getting at. It would be very profitable for them. They would have much more power being the big Farm Ahhhhh. See what I did there?
I think the issue would be how likely the urban areas would be to apologize. I've lived in both cultures and power and profit is much less of a motivator in rural cultures than it is urban cultures. Respect, tradition, and consistency are much more important values in rural cultures than profit and power. Unless that communication barrier is figured out it's not going to go well.
Not surprisingly, people like to eat, so I'm guessing pretty likely. I've lived all over, too. Hopefully, everything works out and we never have to find out who was right.
Gotta get a few winks in... It's been fun. Goodnight.
