Unfortunately I have experience with this, you are 100% correct.

Same goes for any organization...

So now I have this relationship with whoever I am working for they give orders and from time to time I hold my nose and execute them. Fighting the powers that be, standing up for what one thinks is right leads to persecution, then when one finds employment in another organization it's just the same thing. So why fight them.
