@meglide if the choice is between businesses and families going under , starving and big non vulnerable businesses the former is preferable. You are just bringing up a broader point that has existed for decades.

2020-12-19 16:19:13 UTC

So RoseRN what city are you in?

2020-12-19 16:19:15 UTC

I should say though that hospitals got $ too. Was pretty good last winter. Not so sure right now. 1200 dollars for every american is well deserved co spidering companies will certainly be grabbing more than that for themselves, further disenfranchising the average person out there no matter what.

2020-12-19 16:19:46 UTC

I'm no worse off than before and haven't personally seen anyone lose their job, business or home because of covid restrictions. Also I've been going to work every day and making a shitpile of money. By science denial/conspiracy/alt-fact logic, all of this hysteria about 'lockdowns' is a rightist hoax, designed to bring down Biden. Plus I get to make up arbitrary numbers to support any claim I wish, like '99.99% of people survive lockdowns, therefore it's harmless.' People whining about economic strife are either lazy or can't figure out how to get their act together.

Any data which conflicts with this assessment is rightist lies cuz 'The Right' and 'RWM'. Numbers reported include things like being fired for sucking at your job or being insufferably obnoxious to coworkers about Trump's election loss failure.

Am in Phoenix, Arizona. Working in Scottsdale.

2020-12-19 16:20:35 UTC

Im in Arkansas

2020-12-19 16:20:45 UTC

@RoseRN why would banks get a bail out? Corporations did. At the expense of the average person and small businesses. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/03/23/house-democrats-stimulus-senate-coronavirus-145388

PPE should have been created using the defense production act early, like in feb or March to prepare. We actually had a plan to send ppe directly to people via the mail.

2020-12-19 16:21:08 UTC

Yes. Has existed for decades. Optimistic that things would or will get better

2020-12-19 16:23:54 UTC

People being people will grab whatever they can get. Where is the "we are all in this together attitude" could it be old fashion greed.

2020-12-19 16:27:15 UTC

countries have spent billions (the uk £350billion so far, about 1/3 of the annual GDP), europe has spent 750billion euros. this has prevented mass unemployment because its conditional on the workers not getting fired. at some point this will have to be paid back...

2020-12-19 16:27:38 UTC

Ok so Zulu, I get it. Totally do, I think. Hysteria fomenting for sure. Can't judge though. I think initially, there wasn't time to discern who should get what n Trump did not want people to slip through the cracks if he could help it. I do not want to overthink it n good for you, making a s__t ton of money. America, baby. Is why we have govt. I would not want to be the one to make these decisions to affect lives. What I HAVE learned from all this is how much power and control each states Governors have n learning what they do with it is very interesting. Seems like many governors are really looking bad right now. Is a good thing

2020-12-19 16:29:23 UTC

@RoseRN Trump should have bullied McConnell in to getting a more long term human centric bill

2020-12-19 16:30:04 UTC

yeah its all hysteria

He finally made a good deal back in sept or oct which is when pelosi then played politics and refused @RoseRN

2020-12-19 16:30:46 UTC

Which corporations? Did it allow for PPP of thousands of American employees? It's responsible to supply coverage by the thousands, debt forgiveness and programs and committees to relocate small business workforce ect. Unless big corporations were pocketing the money and furloughing employees by the thousands then they need to be investigated and brought to justice but I doubt that's the case. Wonder how much forgiveness was given to Chinese companies.

2020-12-19 16:31:43 UTC

Money for people is useless. They need jobs!

2020-12-19 16:31:47 UTC

James, not sure why banks would but it seems they thought they would get relief. Not my call. As for PPEs, Trump said he was left with nothing from previous administrations. Got the ball rolling, etc. I did hear something about bidding for PPEs n some states did not get a fair deal. So from govt to state to hospital to CEO to administration to the workers. I may not know much at all. This is how I saw it.

2020-12-19 16:32:11 UTC

Does were not cooperating w Trump early on

2020-12-19 16:32:21 UTC

@Phil Lies, all lies. That graph is part of a rightist propaganda campaign meant to suppress the left. 'Do your research.' Patriots won't tolerate it. Murica.

2020-12-19 16:32:36 UTC

@inwa Walmart is basically a Chinese corporation. People couldn’t work during the lock down hence the need for a stimulus check to keep you afloat

2020-12-19 16:32:59 UTC

James, thx for clips/ links. Will check em out later. Gotta get ready for work some time soon

2020-12-19 16:33:12 UTC
2020-12-19 16:33:48 UTC

Thx for graph, Phil.

2020-12-19 16:34:32 UTC

@Phil They have been compromised and are now rightist shills, thus rendering my position unassailable. Next.

2020-12-19 16:35:16 UTC

Who is contesting the economy took a turn for the worst. I mean the stock market did well. I feel bad for the people that sold

2020-12-19 16:35:16 UTC

Last I heard, Inwa, Trump stopped all funding or $ going to China if it had any link to military? Beyond that, don't know

2020-12-19 16:35:42 UTC

Thx Zulu

2020-12-19 16:36:48 UTC

> Who is contesting the economy took a turn for the worst. I mean the stock market did well. I feel bad for the people that sold
@james j Yeah, it's almost like the stock market isn't a *perfect* metric for determining how well people are doing. Almost. Lol

2020-12-19 16:37:04 UTC

We stopped funding research on bats and coronavirus in China @RoseRN

2020-12-19 16:37:20 UTC

@Zuluzeit right

2020-12-19 16:37:48 UTC

the stock market is inflated by a small number of huge companies, companies that do very well when everyone is locked down

2020-12-19 16:38:26 UTC

Yes billionaires made a ton of money during the lockdowns

2020-12-19 16:38:33 UTC

Sweet

2020-12-19 16:38:47 UTC

Wow! Alot of good stuff here. Is better than you tube. Loving Gruler for putting all this together. I am learning so much. WHO took a hit for sure, James. Good talk, y'all. Gotta go. Keep it up. Absolutely loving the dialogue

2020-12-19 16:39:05 UTC

@RoseRN talk later

2020-12-19 16:39:15 UTC

Be well. Stay safe.

2020-12-19 16:40:50 UTC

Not a thing? GOP only wished it was true? Sure that attorney Lin Wood just made it up, since he has no idea of the laws in Georgia - oh wait, he's licensed in Georgia, residing in Atlanta. @RobertGrulerEsq I think this would be an excellent topic to cover in one of your broadcast - GOP Federal suit basically aimed at compelling Georgia to follow their own election laws in reference to the run off election being thrown out for lack of standing. The Law and Crime article doesn't bother to reference Georgia LAW - and seems all the comments are about GOP trying to **suppress the vote**.

If you weren't entitled (registered to vote in GA) in time for the general - you can't vote in the run-off seems to be the point.

2020-12-19 16:44:50 UTC

I wonder how Robert feels about Lin Wood. Hopefully he weighs in.
