Well, now I see who's making the actual strawman argument. The point I was making about "the majority" is that the progressives are not happy with what Biden is bringing in with his *possible* administration (not what he failed to achieve before this election) and that a majority or populists/trumpers on the right won't be happy with someone heavily entwined with a near-peer adversary. You happened to red-herring the point towards pre-term smear BS.
Sorry I just don't
Lol possible
Biden going against corporate? no way.
And believe you me I wish it were going to happen.
Progressives are hardly the majority.
Wrong person quoted.
Whoops.
Long live the investment banker.
@rip.lul make a run on trade wars?
🤪
okay i need some breakfast. Hopefully i can find a corona infected restaurant.
Doing 0 legislatively with Congress is fine. Tax rewards for wealthy people is all Trump got done. I'm more concerned with regulatory efforts.
Follow the Money....
As you seek so shall you find.
It's in Hunter & Kushner's pockets. and they will push it up to the "big guys".
I was hoping to be home for the solstice but not happening.
Even the most crazy Fox News opinion guys gave Obama a little time before declaring him a failure. But now you want to speak on behalf of progressives saying they are done before it even starts 😂 I mean cmon.
Just look at Obama's drone program.
I don't even know what 'progressive' even means anymore. It cools like a refrigerator; relative to ambient conditions.
They are railing against their own party members, including fellow party members who are also progressive. BLM is now turning on Biden because, like typical democrat campaign strategy, use the minorities to bolster your votes. A federal investigation into his child, who was flown over to China on government property for personal purposes, is kicking up more even though issues surrounding his family go back longer than the laptop reveal. Not to mention the transition team members being big tech people and big business people, including a fair amount of former Obama administration members. This guy has nothing surrounding him that builds up confidence other than *hAhA oRaNgE mAn BaD hE lOsT*
Now if only Market-skeptic republicans weren't chased out of the GOP party.
Market-skeptic? That's a new term. What's it mean?
@DeathRhodes666, you just advanced to level 6!
That they overlap with strong liberals (94%) that think the economic system overwhelmingly favors powerful interests.
Oh. Well of course I know them, they're me haha
I didn't know that's what they were called
Eh, might not be, there are some other things on top of that.
They generally favor more regulation on capitalism than deregulation.
Well then they aren't me
I prefer minimal regulation.
Then you're going to have a system that favors powerful interests.
A fair or heavily regulated system also favors powerful interests by reducing the chance for start-ups to achieve a stable and competitive level
I mean... depends on the regulation.
Powerful create Jobs. I have never worked for a Poor Person.
Powerful also create the situation we currently find ourselves in with divisiveness, horizontal monopolies, and more.
Minimal regulations would be those that only cover what is necessary for safe and proper function. OSHA regs? Need those. FDA regs? could be thinned down but still need those.
Uh, unregulated capitalism is inherently going to get more corrupt over time, yes, that's the problem.\
there are thousands of regulations and laws that can be applied, they just never are because reasons....
