just trading short-term gain for long-term pain ... much like the "lockdowns" themselves
@Maw my point is now is not the time to worry about that. That’s something people can take seriously post pandemic
My dude, we're teetering on the point of a downward spiral to bankruptcy, right now is the perfect time to think about that.\
No Knock vs Quick Knock is the Term used in Research and Enforcement/Judicial Settings in the US.
@meglide a once in a 100 year pandemic should be something we should have been prepared for.
@Maw If you want the logic behind dark projections, Im sure you can think of someone. 😄
... no james, no.
it can pushed out into the future but death is ultimately not preventable ... heart disease and cancer are the two top killers ... my 82 mother's heart is failing her, it's just wearing out, when she dies they'll list it as heart disease
If people just behaved like the Swedes we would be in a better place economically
??!??!??!
@Maw, you just advanced to level 36!
Unfortunately Americans are like children when it come to simple requests
Didn't you hate how Sweden reacted to Covid?
You sure you want to stand by that statement?
@meglide there is a lot to consider with medical ethics and longevity
which you didn't do with your "preventable" statement
@Maw I didn’t hate it completely due to how to Swedes generally adhere to common sense protocols
... but you understand it wouldn't work here.
@meglide I did. Imagine being a heart patient for 4 or 2 years instead of a 10. Push back heart disease as much as possible. Not to mention there I plenty of progress being made in that department
We have more conspiracy theorists
and more people. 10 000 dead bodies piled up looks more dramatic than 25
stockholm is the size of a morningtown in colorado
the more people you have lumped together, the bigger the potential for hysteria
Population Density may be a Factor on Disease Transmission?
Medicare For All does not equal lower healthcare program budgets. The ineptitude of government running anything besides war (which I'd argue private industry can do it better) does not decrease medical costs. The most common example (in the US) of government-run healthcare would be the VA. And man does that have a load of issues I wouldn't wish on anyone. So I'm having a very hard time seeing how M4A would lead to a lower healthcare budget.
Inarguably.
The states where people are dying unnecessarily are place like South Dakota where hardly anyone lives
sounds like the state for me
can I rename it Doclandia?
heard land is cheap out there. buy your own chunk and start your own town called Docalndia?
And deaths outside of these states are necessary?
@DeathRhodes666 the conservative ineptitude of government argument exits because
A. They don’t want the government to works
B. Elect idiots
C. Sabotage any comprehensive program that can be effective
@DeathRhodes666 Docopolis
Are you a God? Are you omnipotent? Or do you have anything to back up the statement you just made?
Those same three points can also be used as a blaming mechanism for progressive ineptitude of government you know? Except progressives want gov't to work, only for them. They also elect idiots (AOC), and not just sabotage but also propose ineffective, comprehensive programs.
Could just keep it simple and call it...Doc
some folks live perfectly healthy lives with heart disease kept in check with simple medicines for decades, this heart disease was not an result of unhealthy diet or obesity, genetics perhaps, environmental factors beyond one's control, maybe even a virus ... ask me how I know
Like that scene form Holy Grail where they met the wizard.
