We moved more toward a democratic system after implementing it as a republic system.
Which has left a lot to be desired in the constitution.
Theres some scenarios I can imagine where determining electors becomes sticky. This doesn't seem like it.
Agree.
Recounting unofficial ballots is still unofficial. Look at the paper, look at the ink. The paper is the target and the contention in this election, not the count, not the machines. If you've been paying attention you would know that recounting the ballots isn't what we asked for, we asked for a forensic audit.
Looks like organizations are coming clean with their data breach info before the s*** hits the fan with the solar winds deal.
Who knew how this works?
Remember, this system was designed to not have presidential elections.
What companies got wrecked?
This is going to be a boon for software developers the whole conservation about what should be an in house tool just changed 😄
Technology is obviously vulnerable to manipulation no matter what safe guard is in place. Not even Military is immune
And paper isn't?
For the record, I don't have a problem with technology itself, but not for something this serious, especially WITHOUT ID!!!
What does paper give us that tech with a paper audit trail does not
You can make a relatively safe, isolated machine.
Much like paper.
Then we should make it.
Because this election is fraudulent!
You should rename yourself deadhorse
@Mox Even if it was, this election's results aren't going to change most likely.
Like 0.1% chance of overturning, and that's being generous.
It really wasn't an election by the fair and free standard. It was a completely fraudulent activity. That was not an election. It was planned organized for a very long time to add ballots physically and electronically
I mean, thats what the narrative is. What was the narrative last election?
No, that's literally what I'm seeing with my two eyes.
Not the media's narrative.
Not the right wing media's narrative, etc.
So who won the election?
@Mox Looks like Biden did. You can try to argue about the fraudulent activity all you want, but it's not been exactly working, as I'm pretty sure you admitted earlier. Therefore I don't see Trump overturning this. Not even a narrative-related thing.
if you were paying attention you would know quite a few of these audits have already been done ... you would also know that recounting by hand is precisely what was asked for in court filings by Sidney Powell and others
Not to mention overturning it at this point would make many, many more people distrust the system and spark a crisis most likely.
If you can't demonstrate fraud physically and the hand recounts match the machine counts theres not much basis to change the results. Proving fraud is pretty much the accepted avenue for changing anything here.
The I don't like voting methods being changed has more merit but thats not fraud and thus isn't finding success as changing the results either.
Saying I can't prove it was rigged but I feel like certain political bodies should be able to assume wrongdoing based on their gut isn't working out either.
If you believe the narrative, sure.
And how fast people are dismissing prior vehement Trump supporters that don't agree with the Trump narrative at the moment is concerning to say the very least.
I believe what my eyes see, yes.
Every hardcore Trump supporter willing to speak truth to power is thrown under the bus immediately.
Astounding thing for someone familiar with software to say. Just saying haha.
@Mox, you just advanced to level 4!
I mean, this goes for most programmers as well. Not to say we don't make mistakes and things go under the radar, they do.
