But I honestly think 4 more years of Trump would cause even more irreparable damage to the current political divide. I was supporting Trump prior to the election, but his actions after the election have turned me hard onto the left.

2021-01-01 17:38:08 UTC

And I'm seeing how bad the divide is now.

2021-01-01 17:38:27 UTC

THANK YOUUUUUUU

2021-01-01 17:38:35 UTC

When he can, sending him direct messages is the best way.

2021-01-01 17:38:59 UTC

he took the existing divide and literally carved up the country

2021-01-01 17:39:34 UTC

I overlooked a lot of his bs prior to 2020

2021-01-01 17:41:08 UTC

What is the conjecture?

2021-01-01 17:41:27 UTC

disagree with technology? ... for voting? but not for discussing voting? ... I would very much like to bring voting into the 21st century ... there's very little I can't do electronically online including banking, paying taxes, etc. ... seems like I should be able to vote online ... but when folks don't trust paper ballots in this country even when they've been counted 2 and 3 times both by hand and machine, then I just don't know how we can move forward

2021-01-01 17:41:43 UTC

Gohmert said the VP can just choose fake electors to count and Trump's Department of Justice is like uh thats not how the law works. No thank you

2021-01-01 17:43:13 UTC

Random people can't just be like I declared myself an elector sending a letter to Pence

2021-01-01 17:43:59 UTC

Gohmert actually sued the VP and Pence replied to the judge that Gohmert sued the wrong person, implied that Gohmert should be suing Congress (of which Gohmert is a part) because Congress sets the rules that the VP must follow on Jan 6th

2021-01-01 17:44:45 UTC

I thought Gohmert sued like everyone and their dog

2021-01-01 17:45:21 UTC

that included Pence and his dog I guess

2021-01-01 17:45:38 UTC

Obviously we need some rules in place to determine what constitutes an electoral vote to avoid constitutional crisises

2021-01-01 17:46:20 UTC

Easier said than done.

2021-01-01 17:47:05 UTC

Pence's filing pointed out the irony of Gohmert's argument. "Ironically, Representative Gohmert's position, if adopted by the Court, would actually deprive him of his opportunity as a Member of the House under the Electoral Count Act to raise objections to the counting of electoral votes, and then to debate and vote on them."

Let's see this one is certified by the governor and secretary of state and state board and county boards and election workers and clerks as the official election count of the people and this one was some people signing paper around a picnic table that have no authority at all

2021-01-01 17:47:15 UTC

We moved more toward a democratic system after implementing it as a republic system.

2021-01-01 17:47:28 UTC

Which has left a lot to be desired in the constitution.

2021-01-01 17:47:29 UTC

Theres some scenarios I can imagine where determining electors becomes sticky. This doesn't seem like it.

2021-01-01 17:48:19 UTC

Agree.

2021-01-01 17:49:02 UTC

Recounting unofficial ballots is still unofficial. Look at the paper, look at the ink. The paper is the target and the contention in this election, not the count, not the machines. If you've been paying attention you would know that recounting the ballots isn't what we asked for, we asked for a forensic audit.

Looks like organizations are coming clean with their data breach info before the s*** hits the fan with the solar winds deal.

2021-01-01 17:49:19 UTC

Who knew how this works?

2021-01-01 17:49:29 UTC

Remember, this system was designed to not have presidential elections.

2021-01-01 17:49:38 UTC

What companies got wrecked?

2021-01-01 17:50:02 UTC

This is going to be a boon for software developers the whole conservation about what should be an in house tool just changed 😄

2021-01-01 17:50:08 UTC

Technology is obviously vulnerable to manipulation no matter what safe guard is in place. Not even Military is immune

2021-01-01 17:50:17 UTC

And paper isn't?

2021-01-01 17:50:43 UTC

For the record, I don't have a problem with technology itself, but not for something this serious, especially WITHOUT ID!!!

2021-01-01 17:50:50 UTC

What does paper give us that tech with a paper audit trail does not

2021-01-01 17:51:09 UTC

You can make a relatively safe, isolated machine.

2021-01-01 17:51:13 UTC

Much like paper.

2021-01-01 17:51:22 UTC

Then we should make it.

2021-01-01 17:51:30 UTC

@Mox Agreed!

2021-01-01 17:51:40 UTC

Because this election is fraudulent!

2021-01-01 17:52:29 UTC

Fraud as far as the imagination can see

2021-01-01 17:52:47 UTC

You should rename yourself deadhorse

2021-01-01 17:52:54 UTC

@Mox Even if it was, this election's results aren't going to change most likely.

2021-01-01 17:53:20 UTC

Like 0.1% chance of overturning, and that's being generous.
