i can say for some life experiences that there is a lot bs with law enforce (phx pd bitchs) but a lot good ones also
Jeez you knocking cops. Give me a break . Without law and order what do you have but the loss of order which is anarchy not utopia
No one is saying all cops are bad.
@Theresa I could not have been laying on the sarcasm any thicker if I had a panel of writers coaching me.
need law need better law officers
There are just still a lot of bad cops though.
That is a shame. We really need someone to focus on Journalistic Malfeasance.
think its a small group
@osok Everyone agrees with that. But the focus is on the bad ones.
what a big problem but kinda easy to fix
The worst cops, IMO, are the Obies and Barneys. It is much harder to fix dedicated and friendly ineptitude than deliberate misbehavior.
There is also a lack of police accountability.
I have a sister in law who is a orange county sheriff. She puts up with so much danger it is unbelievable. I was a combat Marine and i would be more frightened in her job then in combat.
No one is arguing good cops aren't heros.
Quite the opposite.
Good cops in this system should be revered.
As they don't tend to last very long.
there to much bs oversight tranpair ect
And it takes a very brave individual to be a good cop during these sorts of times.
Yes you are. You can't make snap judgments. And thats what you are doing
I've made no judgments of your sister-in-law.
No, really we're not.
Like for real.
Seriously
I call bs. Because a good cop bad cop .there is no test for that.
look very to fix first min of batch degree to even apply
There is a test for that, it's the legal system.
Oh but there is a test. Just like criminal and not criminal, which is a judgement made every second of every day.
It's entirely why defense attorneys exist.
A degree doesn't mean diddly in determining good from evil
@Maw Decades ago, when I was in M.I. the Russians claimed to be monitoring every single telephone conversation in the US. Of course they didn't. There wasn't enough man hours in the entire USSR to manage that. It is the same in Policing. We don't have enough man hours in the nation to monitor 55,000,000 interactions a year.
2 reward ones for turing in the bads ones
Agreed, Whithers.
Just IMO police need to learn how to Police themselves 1st then help not hurt the public. More respect will earn them more safe job. again just 1 mans Opinion.
3 training training training
Another problem we have is the police feeling marginalized, targeted, and lacking sufficient manpower to do the job.
well that because the system is broke
Cops get paid poorly for a job that is 1) Not fun 2) Generally speaking, unrewarding unless you have a particular mindset ahead of time 3) Dangerous at times.
Give me a break. I went fap to military police and that's all we did was train train train. Blaming a system is showing your ineptitude. I'm out
they make $$ ..you need smart officer the days of kick some ass is over
