I think both parties benefit from the current system

2020-11-24 02:47:41 UTC

Which is why it won't change meaningfully

2020-11-24 02:47:48 UTC

the establishment in both parties benefit

2020-11-24 02:48:04 UTC

as they have the networks and connections in place to abuse the system

2020-11-24 02:48:06 UTC

In Intel we used to say: In G-d we trust, all others we monitor. We'd monitor G-d if we knew how.

2020-11-24 02:48:27 UTC

secret ballot is essential in any fair election

2020-11-24 02:48:38 UTC

@ImNotGas js the intention of the setup is to take bad things out of play. It doesn't always benefit the same people, so everyone has a stake in it.

The corporatists, RNC and DNC are the problem. And they will sell this nation out in a heartbeat for profit.

2020-11-24 02:50:17 UTC

That is why corporate RINO's aligned with DNC for this election.

2020-11-24 02:50:47 UTC

theres no functional difference between biden and romney

2020-11-24 02:50:54 UTC

only in the way they pander to their base

2020-11-24 02:51:02 UTC

@RobertGrulerEsq Have you ever looked at total employment figures for the US?

2020-11-24 02:51:09 UTC

I don't imagine it is as simple as any of us would conceive.

2020-11-24 02:51:28 UTC

Well after the debacle this year, there might not be a better time to try.

2020-11-24 02:52:02 UTC

That's true @TaLoN132

2020-11-24 02:52:09 UTC

No I haven't @Whithers what do they show?

2020-11-24 02:52:33 UTC

trump should run with this and make this the right wing russiagate x10 for the next 4 years

2020-11-24 02:52:38 UTC

@TaLoN132 You can hash and sign with a public/private key your vote.

2020-11-24 02:52:49 UTC

@TaLoN132 You get my vote for Patience of a Saint award, top honors. I do a lot of back reading. You're a machine.

2020-11-24 02:52:50 UTC

Monaro has ring signatures.

2020-11-24 02:53:01 UTC

whip up the base, make the incumbent rino senators work for their seats in 2022

2020-11-24 02:53:46 UTC

In 1990 I studied the numbers from the Census and the Dept. of Labor. End result about 25% of nation too young to work, and at least 52% dependent on alternative revenue (spouse, pension, stocks, soc sec, illegal un-taxed sources, etc.) for income. That has to affect our voting patterns.

2020-11-24 02:54:13 UTC

oh absolutely

2020-11-24 02:54:28 UTC

I was also wondering... If Trump were to somehow be successful in preventing enough states from certifying their votes this year to kick the decision to the House of Reps, what would prevent the candidate who's party had more than 26 majority delegations from using that tactic every election? And would the courts - especially SCOTUS - possibly take that potential outcome into consideration when ruling on any cases this year?

2020-11-24 02:54:32 UTC

I'm more perturbed by the people who pay no taxes voting. I know that is not a popular opinion.

2020-11-24 02:54:55 UTC

the number of people that are actually net contributors to the budget is a scarily low portion of the population

2020-11-24 02:55:09 UTC

Thanks!

2020-11-24 02:55:09 UTC

@RobertGrulerEsq it matches with the opinion of the framers of the constitution

2020-11-24 02:55:42 UTC

Yes... also, 2-factor authentication. I was thinking.

2020-11-24 02:56:12 UTC

Well, remember us old guys on Soc Sec used to pay taxes on it. But Clinton cut the size and cost of govt. in part by mandating Soc. Sec. reduction by cost of the taxes. And then fired all the accountants that used to keep track of it.

2020-11-24 02:56:22 UTC

@TaLoN132 its electoral vote first, then a contingent election in the house under the 12th amendment

2020-11-24 02:56:29 UTC

That seems like a weird position to have while advocating for no taxes.

2020-11-24 02:56:59 UTC

So anyone over 65 would not get to vote since they are in retierment?

2020-11-24 02:56:59 UTC

@Jorgen Johnson, you just advanced to level 1!

2020-11-24 02:57:12 UTC

I would prefer that Sydney prove that 30% of the vote for Biden was fraudulent.

2020-11-24 02:57:32 UTC

Understood... Some are suggesting that Trump's aim is to keep filing court cases preventing states from certifying, so Biden can't reach 270 electoral votes.

2020-11-24 02:57:36 UTC

They wouldn't get to vote on new taxes that they don't have to pay!

2020-11-24 02:57:44 UTC

Hahaha fair

2020-11-24 02:58:04 UTC

Js

2020-11-24 02:58:10 UTC

I get it

2020-11-24 02:58:14 UTC

It's not a realistic argument
