I think when the justices are assigned circuits and lawyers lose appeals they can ask to push it up to scotus and that justice brings it to the gang and they vote to take it on maybe? If Alito says no they dont all vote I think. Also the head justice during other times handles all that role perhaps? That was the gist of what I read in some articles.

Also the SCOTUS is a court of Certiorari - which basically means they can choose to hear a case or chose not to take on the case.

2020-12-07 14:17:00 UTC

inlight of that then why would a justice ASK for brefs and that

Most of the lawsuits have been brought by Trumps legal team. They want to pretend they are unaffiliated for political not factual purposes. The kraken team split off I assume thinking there was far more money to be made that way. The GOP has a fund they can bring lawsuits with so many lawsuits have been from the party. A few odd legal groups have come in and done a lawsuit but these are more rare because the candidate of party are primary benefactors.

Considering the lawsuit is for down ballot either GOP hired them and sent them in or maybe they just independently said we will take a stab at this. It doesnt really specify from what I can see.

2020-12-07 16:30:38 UTC

I bet you they'd still be fine with the wood stock version even if I tossed on a 50 round drum mag.

2020-12-07 16:31:32 UTC

honestly 50 rd drum mags are probably worse for the shooter

2020-12-07 16:31:37 UTC

considering how often they jam

2020-12-07 16:31:40 UTC

They're stupid heavy too.
