Couer D'Alene should be fine since it's a major city and it's not really stigmatized
Sandpoint, you guys are right, we should stay away from that
It does raise an interesting question though. At what point does a city become untouchable? I mean, even Spokane is vaguely associated with 1.0 stuff, but it's a big enough city that it's not really an issue for us.
our activism should focus on the attacks on our history, culture, and who we are from those who hate us and want to see America destroyed.
comparing ourselves to the worst on our side is not exactly a good look
@Johnny B. Populus eh, I think you're overthinking it
these are still normal cities where most people are normal
it's not like you go out on the street and it's all Hammerskins ready to walk up to you
Though I do think we should avoid cities with stigma
I mean it’s all for the better it should just be run by leadership.
@Jacob it's not the city that's a problem.
all actions depend on what you plan on doing and what you hope to achieve.
this is why all activism ideas are first submitted to state coordinators and then passed on to upper management
Say you're demonstrating etc & A group of the aforementioned Skins attempt to strike up convo or greet IE members? Do you tell them directly tht you don't want to be associated with them which may start a conflict. With speeds that always gets physical. Brawling in the streets with anyone is more than bad optics.
ya that's overthinking it
God the spellcheck is infuriating
I agree that we should avoid stigma tized cities, but for different reasons
again, it's not the cities
you want to do an action around actual neo-nazis in hopes that would gain us positive PR
"see? we aren't as bad as they are" is a GOP trope that has sunk their ship
I just think that it's a bit much to say that skinheads are gonna walk up to us
It's not like these guys are roaming the streets 24/7 ready to walk up to people
@Jacob I agree however, a strong skinhead reputation is a place we should avoid. I don't say it's Mad Max out there but, if they are present they may simply acknowledge the common ground of fighting for our European people & want to talk with us etc. Having photos of "friendly with the Nazis" moments...I don't know. Maybe I'm paranoid.
Did you guys know that Indian dude was in a Skrillex video?
I’m telling you these boomers are next level
@Johnny B. Populus I agree, I just disagree with your reason
again, no need to put a national org's image at risk for a small action that has more cons than pros
Can we give the Indian guy a nickname
Hoaxahontas
@VinceChaos can't be anything rayciss tho like....Cheif Drums4Smirks.
@VinceChaos "Speaks-with-lies" seems appropriate
Stands to close.
Sandpoint is a city with thousands of people and a functioning economy, it's not a bunch of skinheads ready to "walk up to us".
I agree that we should avoid it because of the stigma after hearing reasoning from @Goose, I just think that using the reasoning that skinheads are gonna walk up to us at any moment sounds overly dramatic
Definitely nothing racist guise
Druminyaface
Chief Stands Too Close is great Nerv
SmallDrumStick
@Jacob one rule to think of when doing anything in the name of IE is "minimize risk, maximize reward"
Stands too Close is good.
that's my favorite so far
@Goose You should get a raise. That's good thinking.
thanks, but the kremlin can only afford so much
@Goose Ya I agree with that. Where do you think we should draw the line, though? Couer D'Alene has a bit of a "racist" reputation, but it's also a regionally well known city for totally normal reasons.
No Soviet overtime? Sound like Bolshevik propaganda but ok.
i'll leave that up to your state coordinator @Jacob i know nothing about those areas or even your state lol
fair enough
>tfw I *am* the assistant coordinator for Eastern Washington 😳
