more tests incoming

2019-03-08 21:01:16 UTC

To get a result they set it to 480p and lowest settings

2019-03-08 21:01:48 UTC

Denuvo uses CPU overhead

2019-03-08 21:02:00 UTC

but DMC5 itself isnt CPU reliant so it's hard to test it

2019-03-08 21:02:16 UTC

but there is a difference with it gone

2019-03-08 21:03:30 UTC

Weird. These Denuvo vs. DRM-free videos on YT show that Denuvo's impact is mainly load times, and even so the bulk of the negative impact happens on first load, with subsequent loads being faster.

2019-03-08 21:08:55 UTC

@kontroll yes, but DRM Bad!!!

2019-03-08 21:09:03 UTC

Agreed.

2019-03-08 21:27:07 UTC

@Jignx how long are you gonna talk about this crap?

2019-03-08 21:27:14 UTC

we all know denuvo is crap

2019-03-08 21:28:59 UTC

<:blobhyperthink:427568506905559040> Had a problem with one Linux computer always stalling at "A STOP JOB IS RUNNING" upon reboot.

2019-03-08 21:29:50 UTC

StackExchange post said "do a `$ shutdown now` and then a `$ reboot`, that'll fix it".

2019-03-08 21:30:05 UTC

Sure enough... the "A STOP JOB IS RUNNING" notification went away.

2019-03-08 21:30:08 UTC

Denuvo's CPU impact was far bigger than 7% on Monster Hunter Worlds

2019-03-08 21:30:14 UTC

But it still stalls for the same amount of time.

2019-03-08 21:36:21 UTC

@Phatique All I said it's crap and people here are saying it isnt

2019-03-08 21:36:53 UTC

if you actually thjink about it, this is a problem of capitalism

2019-03-08 21:37:18 UTC

developers and publishers are forced to make as much profit as possible for shareholders

2019-03-08 21:37:29 UTC

if they think a DRM is gonna do it, they will use it

2019-03-08 21:41:20 UTC

gotta answer to shareholders on what steps they're taking to combat lost sales when people pirate games

2019-03-08 21:42:16 UTC

taking action than doing nothing is what shareholders like

2019-03-08 21:58:31 UTC

AAA was a mistake

2019-03-08 22:04:35 UTC

Releasing a demo would probably get them far more sales than adding denuvo

2019-03-08 22:08:27 UTC

On an unrelated note >no special opening in JoJo

2019-03-08 22:08:29 UTC

2019-03-08 22:16:35 UTC

Isn't this week a recap episode?

2019-03-08 22:16:51 UTC

Yeah

2019-03-08 22:16:59 UTC

I at least hoped they would spice up the opening a little bit or something

2019-03-08 22:17:07 UTC

Since apparently next week there will be a new OP

2019-03-08 22:20:41 UTC

>being a jojo fag

2019-03-08 22:20:49 UTC

Lol AAA wasn't the mistake, you were

2019-03-08 22:21:17 UTC

>hating JoJo
At least be creative about it 😏

2019-03-08 22:21:47 UTC

So I just had to re-install Windows after installing Grub2Win, the firmware refusing to recognize its EFI file regardless of settings, and totally breaking my boot files trying to correct the issue from command file.

2019-03-08 22:21:51 UTC

Fun

2019-03-08 22:22:15 UTC

Who here would hate on JoJo by the way? It's good clean comic book fun.

2019-03-08 22:27:18 UTC

@Phatique denuvos core design is to appeal to publishers by holding off cracks for a couple days during peak sales season

2019-03-08 22:27:35 UTC

it's also commissioned by EA so I don't really have to say much more

2019-03-08 22:29:06 UTC

and for the most part denuvo does its intended purpose and still isn't cracked in many new release titles

2019-03-08 22:30:02 UTC

I feel my boomer level increasing. Looking to buy a wheel base for my computer.

2019-03-08 22:30:10 UTC

Before Denuvo cracking got really big, it could be counted on to keep a game secure for months at a time, if I'm recalling correctly. Now I'm not sure why, it can get cracked in two days depending.
