23andMe is known to add “surprises”.

They were important people in the HRE from what I've gathered, but that side came to America in 1752 or 1751(cant remember)

obviously they couldn't have been royalty since they left

Basically 100 or so people moved from one village in Germany to a town in Illinois and one of he descendants had a tree online. You’d be surprised what you can dig up online though

My great grand mother moved from Ireland in the 1930s and my great grandpa moved from Germany around the same time, probably after the war to avoid the allied war trials. I wish I knew more about them.

my great grandfather brought back a japanese sword, officers pistol, and the heads of a few people

@⚡Clark⚡ so many young men were drafted in those times, it's quite heart breaking what they came back to in some cases
