That’s old Prussian alright.
don't they say if you're from traditionally Prussian territory unless you can trace your family back to the Prussia aristocracy you're very likely Baltic
I was not aware of that
But the surname was Meier which was a Prussian aristocratic name
I've only heard it
But I couldn’t find any aristocracy
Aristocracy or just Sam Anderson
very nice
It’s tiny as heck. I bet if I went there I could find their exact residence tbh.
fun fact
my family and @DixieBoy76 - KY's family are from towns that are fairly close to each other
That is fun. I’m having fun already
🤔
@Jacob did your family replace @DixieBoy76 - KY’s family
yes
Come to North Atlantic @V.Balboa - PA
If you all are looking at DNA tests, I would highly recommend CRI Genetics. Not only do you get your genetic make-up, but it also shows when a particular ancestor entered your family. It’s really damn cool.
call me paranoid, but are there any anonymous DNA testing services?
It’s also run by an actual geneticist and not some (((multi-national))) corporation.
Thanks, I'll look into it
👍🏻
don't trust the info to not be purchased by insurance companies and affect my descendants
there's a university that does DNA tests for free and gives you the raw data
Interesting. How much are they? 100$?
you have to be okay with your data being used for research, but at least they're not gonna sell it
$80 right now I think
From the day I placed it in my mailbox, it took 3 weeks to get my results
You have to pay extra for haplogroups
@Fjällvargar just a heads up we try not to use ((())) in IE.
👍🏻
Sorry about that
Don’t sweat it. I’m not a mod.
@Fjällvargar Have you tried Ancestry?
All the same — it’s good information. I’m not on the server a lot and it’s good to know the etiquette.
Hello everyone
@DixieBoy76 - KY I did that one first.
It’s just considered kind of Wignat lol
Yeah here’s mine
