My great-grandfather came to America and died of polio 3 years later. My granddad’s brother was paralyzed because of it. Jonas Salk was one of our people’s greats.

@Nemets I think syphilis is one of those diseases that will periodically do this. Didn't Europeans bring it to the New World and bring back a mutated form that caused a lot of problems in Europe a few decades later?
