Although I think talking about how different races smell is fairly weird, I gotta say, the whole "black people smell funny" thing has never made sense to me. I have never noticed them smell any way at all. And tbh sometimes I wonder if it's just something people say, or convince themselves they smell.
Class probably plays a role as well, in nutrition and hygiene. But I have noticed odd odor on some very wealthy Asians.
It's all anecdotal and not terribly important compared to the larger societal and differencess.
Take a look at black Twitter sometime. They definitely have words on the matter.

I do recommend visiting black twitter for that and other reasons. Although I don't understand why noticing scent is any weirder than noticing IQ patterns or crime stats.
