No I decided to make my own algorithm

Cylinder hood division tree

You make 16 vertices, you make 7 more to separate the two, you use the seed to decide the angle of the hood, you calculate the normal of half the cylinder and the hood and a 2nd normal for the other half of the cylinder and the hood, you create two more cylinders and you mesh the half cylinder/hood sections to the new cylinders using the seed to randomly steer the branch a little each time
