I was with my sister today and she was telling me

2019-02-22 00:22:22 UTC

Thicc

2019-02-22 00:22:27 UTC

Depends on location, size, state of the facilities

2019-02-22 00:22:55 UTC

Usable, big enough, not a weird location

2019-02-22 00:22:56 UTC

The DNA tests can be useful but it’s not 1% of the joy and connection to actually researching the names and stories in your family tree. It’s a must do ASAP IMO

2019-02-22 00:23:01 UTC

You could probably pick one up in the Rocky Mountain region for a fair price

2019-02-22 00:23:19 UTC

IE is active in that region, too

2019-02-22 00:23:28 UTC

very active

2019-02-22 00:23:36 UTC

Yee. There's a really nice scout ranch not too far outside denver actually

2019-02-22 00:23:50 UTC

what would "a fair price" be?

2019-02-22 00:24:28 UTC

@Mitchell-TX that’s what we did

2019-02-22 00:24:43 UTC

Pretty sure she said something about the Mayflower too

2019-02-22 00:24:54 UTC

She’s gonna send it to me later

2019-02-22 00:25:42 UTC

A couple million I'd imagine

2019-02-22 00:27:18 UTC

That's on the high end. Price at 9.9m

2019-02-22 00:27:24 UTC

I found one for 3.75 million

2019-02-22 00:28:08 UTC

Isn't 2320 acres massive though?

2019-02-22 00:28:21 UTC

<:npc:548295779232514068> im gonna make very good use of this

2019-02-22 00:28:21 UTC

Thats huge yeah

2019-02-22 00:29:24 UTC

There are a lot of smaller weird youth camps that have land that go out of business at some point. You don't really need to buy a ranch with thousands of acres.

2019-02-22 00:30:03 UTC

exactly

2019-02-22 00:30:05 UTC

But we want thousands of acres, for uh, expansion

2019-02-22 00:30:27 UTC

sometimes all these little Christian schools can afford their own camp sites

2019-02-22 00:33:20 UTC

Whatever we do, we have to avoid buying property in northern idaho at all costs

2019-02-22 00:40:19 UTC

there's a lot here for under a million

2019-02-22 00:40:25 UTC

even after you scroll past the RV parks

2019-02-22 00:42:20 UTC

@DixieBoy76 - KY I would bet most of us have revolutionaries in our line. You just have to look. The massive online trees are being driven more and more by AI. It just takes a human to do the final check before making it official.

2019-02-22 00:43:16 UTC

@DixieBoy76 - KY That's really cool. I have my family traced back to, like, 1918 lol

2019-02-22 00:43:46 UTC

@Mitchell-TX I tried doing my own but did it wrong

2019-02-22 00:43:54 UTC

I traced a few ancestors back to England, Ireland and one from Switzerland

2019-02-22 00:44:11 UTC

Yeah they were still in America in the 1600’s

2019-02-22 00:44:23 UTC

That’s when they came over I think

2019-02-22 00:47:08 UTC

I traced mine back to like the late 1700's in Prussia

2019-02-22 00:47:35 UTC

@Drover Tom My Dad’s side is from Prussia

2019-02-22 00:48:32 UTC

That's where my dad's side is too

2019-02-22 00:48:35 UTC

They were from West Prussia in a little town called Garnsee

2019-02-22 00:49:22 UTC

I'd have to go back and look at mine. I have photographs of marriage records and stuff. They kept very good records lol

2019-02-22 00:49:26 UTC

You’ll find that once you go back far enough, especially if you have Anglo roots, you will find you are related to some royalty and at that point all the family history is complete for hundreds of years because that far back only the royal families had solid records.
