I started with cold water, bring it to boil, then let it boil for a few minutes before turning off the heater and leaving it on the stove to cool.

Also for hard boiled eggs I’m pretty sure you just boil water and then submerge them for like... 12-15 minutes? Can’t remember.

Yesterday I was at a grocery store and saw 6 peeled hard boiled eggs on clearance for $1.29. Thought of buying, but I already had a bunch of eggs at home. Would have been a good deal.

Don’t put the eggs on the stove before water comes to a boil
