Equality means among other things that the amount of women and men in for example different fields of education, hobbies, fields of work and positions of power are equal in number.
The proportions of 40% women and 60% men (or reversed) have long been viewed as equal gender distribution. Nowadays we usually strive for 50% men and 50% women. If there is more than 60% women in a group it's called women-dominated. If a group has more than 60% men its called man-dominated. The number of female and male teachers in the swedish school system year 2007 is shown in the graph. The graph only includes four numbers, but many comparisons can be done regardless.
