These tariffs just happen to coincide with a very predictable up in the economy, but no one seems to look at patterns.

2018-10-20 19:04:57 UTC

tariffs are the big gay

2018-10-20 19:05:09 UTC

Also, the more we stave off wherever the next recession will come from, the worse it will probably be.

@名被盜 What are you smoking, Nationalism is a modern word and concept yes, most nations existed before the idea of nationalism this is a fact. People unite under a tribe, these have always been ethnic, literally in languages you will find ethnic groups describing other non in persons as for example slavs describing germanic peoples as Niemy, or unintelligable or ununderstandable. This already creates a nation defacto a nation is simply an expansion fo the tribe to the size of what is a territory and people instinctively fought over this. This was simply later defined as nationalism.

Nationalism has nothing to do with liberalism, since the two are completely at odds with each other. Because one shaped a nation state does not mean that liberalism is part of nationalism or even related to it. This is simply creating a false connection.

Minority groups are not magical unicorns that are somehow deserving, this is some random absurdity and the minority bourgeoise culture does not define the nation, ther eis a reason nationalism has always gone hand in hand with folk and village romanticism, combined with great vritues and values. Nationalism is essentially the formalization and definition of a natural phenomena we see in nature and the nature of groups, it is transforming that natural instinct etc. into a coherent ideology, as until liberalism and other ideologies that saught to break up the nation didnt exist nationalism and the like were completely unessecary.

Not once in history has there been actual assimilation of a group, ther ehas either been rampant forced mixing, or simply extermination, either way one culture is always set to die, alongside one people.

Tribalism and in-group loyalty existed long before the French Revolution. The French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars simply giving that behavior a new label and applying a modern definition to it doesn't mean it wasn't always there @名被盜

2018-10-20 20:29:42 UTC

Not really much to say there, because nothing else needs to be said.

2018-10-20 20:30:02 UTC

Tribalism does not equal Nationalism

2018-10-20 20:30:18 UTC

It's more or less the same behavior, so it sort of does, if not exactly

2018-10-20 20:31:20 UTC

Nationalism in inherently populist, while customarily Elitism was the case.

2018-10-20 20:31:40 UTC

Ye nationalism is tribalism 2.0 the ideology

2018-10-20 20:31:57 UTC

btw

2018-10-20 20:32:06 UTC

Nationalism is tribalism on a greater scale

2018-10-20 20:32:10 UTC

more or less

2018-10-20 20:32:21 UTC

orange man bad, dont vote for elephant logo politicians.

2018-10-20 20:33:37 UTC

ah

2018-10-20 21:01:21 UTC

Tariffs aren't economically beneficial, they decrease the amount of international trade, which, by its very nature, leads to increased productivity

2018-10-20 21:02:05 UTC

They can be effective morally, though such moral tariffs aren't in place (eg, placing high tariffs on monarchies or autocracies, countries which permit slave labor, or countries with poor ecological standards)

2018-10-20 21:15:03 UTC

shut up tard

2018-10-20 21:15:33 UTC

heck

2018-10-20 21:15:40 UTC

I have been destroyed by FACTS and LOGIC

2018-10-20 21:16:16 UTC

Tariffs just shift the time scale of benefits, theoretically. Nothing else. And what the heck is a moral tariff? Tariff on countries having different type of government?

2018-10-20 21:16:59 UTC

Tariffs on countries which treat laborers/citizens unethically

2018-10-20 21:17:09 UTC

and they don't shift the time scale, they just produce benefits

2018-10-20 21:17:23 UTC

Shifting the maximum potential productivity scales outwards

2018-10-20 21:17:28 UTC

Specialization tends to do that

2018-10-20 21:18:09 UTC

That is simply not true. Let us say all countries have equal tariffs. So who is losing out?
