2018-12-07 16:55:36 UTC

@riacan Austrians , Chicago and Adam Smith agree with me

2018-12-07 16:55:38 UTC

called "state"

2018-12-07 16:55:40 UTC

where do you define a free market?

2018-12-07 16:55:41 UTC

😂

2018-12-07 16:55:41 UTC

Define corporation

2018-12-07 16:55:49 UTC

surely a market is never free while the state exists

2018-12-07 16:55:53 UTC

Free market is seperstion if state and market

2018-12-07 16:55:58 UTC

```As used by right-wing apologists for “free market capitalism” (an oxymoron if ever there was one), capitalism is the source of everything good in the world — but also something that never existed. And it switches repeatedly back and forth from one to the other, every couple of sentences, in the same argument. ```
2018-12-07 16:56:02 UTC
And capitalism is the free market
2018-12-07 16:56:34 UTC
one can only guess you believe america is socialist then
2018-12-07 16:56:38 UTC
2018-12-07 16:56:55 UTC
It’s not socialist but it’s definitely not capitalist
2018-12-07 16:56:57 UTC
trump is a fascist and the fascists are socialist
2018-12-07 16:57:01 UTC
sure adam smith totally agrees with you
2018-12-07 16:57:05 UTC
which is why he said "The subjects of every state ought to contribute towards the support of the government, as nearly as possible, in proportion to their respective abilities; that is, in proportion to the revenue which they respectively enjoy under the protection of the state"
2018-12-07 16:57:06 UTC
It’s close to a freer market
2018-12-07 16:57:09 UTC
how can u separate state and market when the state automatically imposes things like taxation and property onto the market <:GWfroggyBlobThonk:400751075776397322>
2018-12-07 16:57:13 UTC
As it’s rated free in the economic freedom index
2018-12-07 16:57:19 UTC
@Bernard you’re missing the point
2018-12-07 16:57:20 UTC
I see smith TOTALLY agrees with you
2018-12-07 16:57:25 UTC
In a free market there is now stag intervention
2018-12-07 16:57:37 UTC
@riacan our of context
2018-12-07 16:57:45 UTC
He said the free market is capitalism
2018-12-07 16:57:56 UTC
and he’s not referring to any economy currently
2018-12-07 16:57:59 UTC
and support for the state
2018-12-07 16:58:01 UTC
doesn’t matter
2018-12-07 16:58:03 UTC
you evidently do not agree
2018-12-07 16:58:08 UTC
@sɪᴅɪsɴᴏᴛʜᴇʀᴇ wow you're a senior citizen already
2018-12-07 16:58:09 UTC
question
would banning slavery in a free market make said market unfree?
2018-12-07 16:58:16 UTC
He has said the free market is capitalism
2018-12-07 16:58:39 UTC
@ritasuma they'd enslave you by contract
2018-12-07 16:58:40 UTC
would you like the full quote?
2018-12-07 16:58:41 UTC
Same with Austrians
2018-12-07 16:58:42 UTC
"The subjects of every state ought to contribute towards the support of the government, as nearly as possible, in proportion to their respective abilities; that is, in proportion to the revenue which they respectively enjoy under the protection of the state. The expense of government to the individuals of a great nation is like the expense of management to the joint tenants of a great estate, who are all obliged to contribute in proportion to their respective interests in the estate. In the observation or neglect of this maxim consists what is called the equality or inequality of taxation. Every tax, it must be observed once for all, which falls finally upon one only of the three sorts of revenue above mentioned, is necessarily unequal in so far as it does not affect the other two. In the following examination of different taxes I shall seldom take much further notice of this sort of inequality, but shall, in most cases, confine my observations to that inequality which is occasioned by a particular tax falling unequally even upon that particular sort of private revenue which is affected by it. "
2018-12-07 16:58:44 UTC
Chicago’s
2018-12-07 16:58:47 UTC
you clearly don't seem to understand smith
