@shrub France has an extensive welfare state combined with high amounts of cooperate regulation and worker's rights that dissuade foreign investment, thus reducing capital and taxable income, resulting in a high tax rate, often aimed at cooperations, which result in increased prices for consumers and even less foreign investment. Sadly, their welfare state has been abused by the refugees.

@shrub It's no so obvious to fascists, actual 1930's fascists had socialist economic policies. Mussolini remained a staunch socialist figure all his life, even when fighting the Reds, whom the Italian fascists didn't consider to be socialists.

@FLanon Yes, Mussolini did coerce and inventivize a group of politically-loyal bussiness owners and allow them to establish monopolies over key parts of the industry in an effort to retain greater control over the private sector, but that was actually small in scale, the majority of industry was nationalized, including but not limited to trains, automobile manufacturing (partial), most natural resources, and many other aspects.
