you could move stuff around too freely

2018-10-06 17:48:12 UTC

So ^Kevin^

2018-10-06 17:48:39 UTC

I was wondering if you wanted to answer that epistemology question of mine: what do you believe truth to be?

2018-10-06 17:49:16 UTC

truth is not relative, truth is facts that aren't debatable

2018-10-06 17:49:47 UTC

you can debate with someone about facts and truth, but even if you both conclude wrongly that the truth isn't the truth, it doesn't change the truth

2018-10-06 17:50:04 UTC

you can both conclude that the sky is clearly pink or orange, even though its blue

2018-10-06 17:50:08 UTC

but when you live within a reality enwhich matter is a product of quatnum manifestation "fact" is linear in a non-linear reality as the mandella effect has proven

2018-10-06 17:50:56 UTC

in short "you" could see a pink sky and the world wold see you as bloody crazy; but in your reality it would be a pink sky

2018-10-06 17:51:05 UTC

mandella effect has not been proven

2018-10-06 17:51:27 UTC

just because it's not been proven to yourself doesn't mean it's not been proven....

2018-10-06 17:51:33 UTC

So you believe in correspondence theory? That which is true is that which is actual in the material universe.

2018-10-06 17:51:49 UTC

if I haven't bought into the theory, its just a theory, not a fact

2018-10-06 17:51:58 UTC

What's a fact?

2018-10-06 17:52:05 UTC

a fact is something I have bought into

2018-10-06 17:52:16 UTC

its completely subject to my beliefs

2018-10-06 17:52:29 UTC

(this is a joke)

2018-10-06 17:52:43 UTC

Some epistemologists do buy into relativism

2018-10-06 17:52:56 UTC

didn't I already say truth isn't relative

2018-10-06 17:53:04 UTC

its not subject to someone's beliefs

2018-10-06 17:53:32 UTC

Interesting

2018-10-06 17:54:48 UTC

here's the thing write if i make you lemonade I know for a fact i made it; but I can't say for a fact the lemons came from X tree unless i picked them; and a lot of science is pointing at theoretical tree's saying see the lemons came from this one; while leaving all the other "tree's" of thought up in the air out of ignorance

2018-10-06 17:55:36 UTC

I think what you are trying to say here is that lemons is where money comes from

2018-10-06 17:55:47 UTC

that is an interesting theory I'll have to give some thought to

2018-10-06 17:56:37 UTC

So would you both agree with the statement that fact is a thing that cannot be cast into doubt?

2018-10-06 17:56:57 UTC

just because the majority believe in something doesn't make it a fact

2018-10-06 17:57:10 UTC

Mhm.

2018-10-06 17:57:17 UTC

in fact, the majority have been duped into believing false and provably wrong beliefs

2018-10-06 17:57:24 UTC

ya "true" pure facts are far and few between; most of them are objective and half lies

2018-10-06 17:57:47 UTC

Okay, so Mr. J seems to agree with the statement.

2018-10-06 17:57:50 UTC

Kevin, do you?

2018-10-06 17:57:59 UTC

ulcers is one example, where people thought it was caused by worry and we eventually learned it is curable in most cases

2018-10-06 17:58:53 UTC

no, truth is something that is true, no matter if everyone agrees to the contrary

2018-10-06 17:59:01 UTC

That's not what I asked

2018-10-06 17:59:16 UTC

its true regardless of what people think and regardless of what facts they present that people believe

2018-10-06 17:59:20 UTC

like the globe for instance

2018-10-06 17:59:30 UTC

most people have been duped into believing this fairy tale

2018-10-06 17:59:43 UTC

Mate, I'm asking you to define something. That kind of does not work if you use the terms I'm asking for a defintion of.

2018-10-06 18:00:20 UTC

what I'm telling you is truth is the truth

2018-10-06 18:00:25 UTC

hell most people believe this "reality" is the reality of matter; that this is ground 0 when we are just an expression of spirituality bound within the constraints of a greater system of "beliefes" etc
