Oh yeah, spring turkey season tasted good too. lmao
Green briar’s young shoots are also edible. Sand plums and wild blackberries are also around
Yeah I got to get me some blackberries. I'm growing my own stuff though.
Actually I should just plant some blackberry bushes instead of looking around for them.
I need to cook spme more bluegill
They are pretty tasty
Ye
@goofy_murican I never thought I'd want/need them... but I think I'm gonna get some puttees just as a fashion statement... hahaha
hell yeah bro
they are such an under rated piece of kit
And now I need a throwback uniform to WWI
I want like a modernized version....
If you can make that work, go ahead
I have no idea how I'd do it. Lol
Or if I ended up making that AR musket, maybe I'd use some kinda modernized 1700s garb
I mean, I'm gonna be rocking the civil war garb with a tacticalized musket...
I've already got a Civil War Unifom.
Yankee or reb?
Mainly Yank, I was cavalry. But would occasionally go Reb at some events if we needed to help even the numbers.
I see
still working on piecing together my uniform
Yeah, It's not a cheap hobby and I honestly have been hurt more by horses than anything else. So I don't really do it anymore.
I did it as something to do with my dad, but I dislike horses enough to not want to get back into it.
that stinks
I've had a pretty good time doing infantry myself. although I would like to get my hands on a 12 pounder gun for shits and giggles
Hahaha, you know the rule for being an artillery man, right?
Don't stick your dick where the powder goes
You have to weigh as much as the cannon in order to be one.
lmao
I don't know if you've ever even looked at those guys.
But they're some big boys.
I have, and you ain't wrong
Only ever ran into one crew that wasn't obese. Really cool dudes out of Georgia, they were horse-drawn artillery.
it's almost like they picked the most sedentary position in the hobby...
We were doing the Red River Campaign a few years back, week long campaign. It was actually really fucking cool. And there were two crews of horse-drawn arty that we were escorting through the woods.
dude, those long campaign events are the shit. too bad up here we don't really do those
Yeah, I don't imagine there are many guys that do that stuff there.
closest we get are the weekend long tactical events once in a blue moon
Omg, so did you see the 150th Getteysburg a few years back?
not personally, no. but I saw a few clips on youtube
