I said earlier how tampons didn’t work
What was that device was supposed to be made, actually kinda looked like a tampooooon, but shot in thousands of little cloting agents
That’s what I was talking about earlier when we were on pelvic wounds
That damn thing works wonders
I wish I could find one
That and some Fast Ones
I’m going to use Fast ones out of spite on my boys
Oh shit ok, I never knew if they actually made it ha ha
Yeah CoTCCC put out a video with it.
It’s amazing for junctions wounds that a TQ can’t handle
Damn that’s what’s up! I never knew it actually came to be
I’d love one
You mean the SAM splint? Works pretty good
Fuck, I meant SAM junctional tourniquet 🤣
Discussion: What has the COVID-19 pandemic taught us about the need to prepare ourselves and families in the face of apocalyptic pandemics in the future.
I personally think it reinforced the idea of “prepping” more than just food and water. Learning what I actually consume every month to survive and what I either need to stock up on or substitute in the event I cannot go to store that will have basic necessities stocked for weeks.
@Copbot1001 this could prob be moved over to member chat channel
I’ll copy/paste

@AR
That’s not it. It’s basically a big ass syringe (not the pokey kind) filled with clotting foam that’s small.

Again, if anyone has medical questions, feel free to ask them.
You’re in good hands.
This goes over what you need in your IFAK.

Looks like we’ve got medical covered pretty well.
If you guys have any useful information, feel free to post it.
I haven't checked them out yet but I've heard good things about dark angel medical
Sorry boys, passed the fuck out.
Celox A and xstat (the dildo looking one) are the ones I’ve played with.
Not a fan of the granules but i do like those sponges. They were trialing some injectable foam shit for abdominal trauma, not sure if it went to actual tests. Looked like a pain in the ass for surgery.
X-Stat is the shit
I just had to use celox on my finger today. What I found was that the granules will sit in top of the blood if you are heavily bleeding. It was only effective with multiple applications and constant pressure. I want to experiment with other hemostatic agents to see what the results are.
Celox is made to be applied AFTER you remove as much blood as you can from the wound.
Primarily for that reason.
Id rarely recommend hemostatics on digits unless there wasn’t enough room for a TQ or use of pressure points. The granules have quite a few problems, as Zoomer said, its designed to be placed as close to the bleed as possible with as little blood as possible. Thats why i like the z fold, wrap it around your finger and stuff it in the hole. Lol
I want an X-Stat so bad
Anyone know the price?
A coworker bought one and he paid like $40/$50
