2020-05-09 23:18:48 UTC

Ditto. Trying to learn some human medicine

2020-05-10 15:05:47 UTC

Are there general standard on roles of team medics? Like are they typically using a DMR and supporting?

2020-05-10 15:08:09 UTC

Hit up CoTCBC

2020-05-10 17:17:25 UTC

Any med kits yall recommend? I have a basic IFAK and getting extra tourniquets, but ideally something I can carry on my carrier or belt

2020-05-10 21:54:20 UTC

North American Rescue TORK

2020-05-10 21:54:38 UTC

Tactical Operator Rescue Kit

2020-05-12 05:10:40 UTC

I’m gonna be honest, I loved the new MARCHH kits, even if they’re a bit different. Very effective outside of the piece of junk tourniquet they use. Get CATs.

2020-05-13 02:08:55 UTC

Is it better to buy an IFAK already put together or should I get a pouch and put one together myself

2020-05-13 02:11:12 UTC

Put one together. IMO.

2020-05-13 02:46:58 UTC

I have the list in the Library. Should be pinned.

2020-05-13 02:47:16 UTC

Yea I thought you had a list somewhere

2020-05-13 02:47:27 UTC

You think it’s in the library?

2020-05-13 02:47:43 UTC

What’s a good pouch to run for it

2020-05-13 03:05:49 UTC

BFG micro trauma now

2020-05-13 03:06:08 UTC

Or just the trauma now

2020-05-13 04:52:13 UTC

Nah

2020-05-13 04:52:14 UTC

Those are too small for the list in the library

2020-05-13 04:55:51 UTC

Honestly anything that holds the shit you wanna carry is good. Hsgi bleeder pouch is good for small kit. Just depends on your use. I have a NAR squad medical fanny pack thing i keep in my truck, its big and i end up filling it up with stuff

2020-05-13 05:07:19 UTC

Band aids and some braces/compression wraps, don't forget the little things like sprained ankles or paper cuts, a small injury can turn into a much larger one down the road

@Cannibalistic69th oh yea it sure can. I have medical training. I’m BLS certified through the state of MA and the shit I learned in the AF. When it comes to running it on a plate carrier that’s where I lack knowledge.

2020-05-13 10:48:24 UTC

But thanks guys I’ll start with that info and get to building it.

2020-05-13 14:44:09 UTC

The BFG kits are sized by a blowout kit and a slightly larger blowout kit. If the kit doesn’t fit in there it’s probably a little too big for an ifak

2020-05-15 22:23:03 UTC

Where’s a good place to buy CBRN filters?

2020-05-15 22:23:14 UTC

For gas mask

2020-05-15 22:34:21 UTC

Have no clue.

2020-05-15 23:24:36 UTC

Maybe eBay, safe 40mm filters are easier to find than 60mm. If you have a mask with 60mm threads, you can get a 60mm to 40mm adapter on there too.
