Yeah basically. AR15s are restricted by name and can only be fired at an approved range and require special licencing and registration same as all hand guns over 4.2 inches in barrel length as all pistols under 4.2 inches are prohibited

But my AR180b doesn't have any restrictions and can be use anywhere its legal to discharge a firearm

And doesn't need to be registered
