@American_AF I know, I’m just hoes mad about guns all of the times
It's just on backorder Phil
@Ballsdini wrong. But ok
Cheaper than eotech too
Sorry sig romeo 5
Im always cool with a good debate. As long as people don’t get all butthurt.
Oh, good to know. Ive learned something 🤣
This holo is out of stock here as well. https://www.primaryarms.com/vortex-optics-razor-amg-uh-1-holographic-sight-ebr-cqb-reticle
I hate the look of the huey, but I hear it's a pretty good optic.
It's good
looks wonky but it's an absolute tank. Only thing bad I have to say about it is that the glass has a blue tint, but it's still very clear. The battery life sucks because it's a holosight, but it still blows eotech out of the water on every single feature.
1) focal planes. Irons require the use of 3 focal planes. An optic only needs one to function. So it’s faster, all of the times.
2) threat focus. Because red dots give you a single focal plane, you’re always looking at the target and environment, not so dumb pierce of metal next to your hand
3) size of aiming point over target. Typical red dot is 2 MOA, typical front sight post is like, 10. You do the math.
4) low light capability. Irons don’t work without light at multiple focal planes. Red dots always work.
5) NVG compatibly. Can’t see irons through your tubes.
Burris prism vs primary arms?
Shit. I have a $150 red dot on a $2000+ rifle.
Yeah, I’m that guy.
Both look good
Definitely primary arms over Burris
@American_AF Same dude, hahaha
I have a $300 red dot and magnifier package on a 1200 rifle XD
That above was more at @Ballsdini so I wasn’t just being a dick
I found the primary arms 1x with the good reticle, just takes the shitty button batteries.
Most smaller red dots do, doesn’t matter
I would still recommend an aimpoint or trijicon over the huey due to battery life though. Both are sort of fire and forget, but the huey actually needs its battery changed every once in a while
Was hoping to find one that ran on AAA
Yeah, I think the next time I get a red dot, I'll get one that runs off of AAA or AA. Like those expensive ass Aimpoints
Maybe save up for a Comp M5
Aimpoint Comp M’s are the only ones hat run off AAA that I know of
Vortex Sparc AR is great for the money. And takes a AAA
The primary arms fixed power optics are all good. I've been using a gen 2 1-6 acss for several years landed on it when I went over a wall st tiger valley 2017 still working well BDC is dead on with 55 grain and exactly 100 yards off with prvi 75 grain range 4 hold 5 you'll get hits all day
I’ve been digging Vortex recently
I’ve broken a few of those - the sparc
Primary arms makes one but i cant fins it for sals
rule of thumb is anything that says vortex without razor next to it is only good at a range
Sig makes a dot that runs on AAs
Looking for a prism not a dot is my issue
which is totally fine if you just shoot for fun
I’m fucking *cringing* internally, but it does appear that the newer holosuns are more robust than the other budget options
Does any company make an optic that works in meters? Instead of gay ass yards?
Yes like most of them lol
Holosun is king of affordable dot sights
@Crye_Salesman ive got a holosun on my beater, pretty solid
