Shit. I have a $150 red dot on a $2000+ rifle.
Yeah, I’m that guy.

2020-04-30 21:17:49 UTC

Both look good

2020-04-30 21:17:54 UTC

Definitely primary arms over Burris

2020-04-30 21:18:02 UTC

@American_AF Same dude, hahaha

2020-04-30 21:18:28 UTC

I have a $300 red dot and magnifier package on a 1200 rifle XD

2020-04-30 21:18:43 UTC

That above was more at @Ballsdini so I wasn’t just being a dick

2020-04-30 21:18:57 UTC

I found the primary arms 1x with the good reticle, just takes the shitty button batteries.

2020-04-30 21:19:06 UTC

I don’t even know the brand of the red dot on my DD

2020-04-30 21:19:09 UTC

Most smaller red dots do, doesn’t matter

2020-04-30 21:19:13 UTC

I would still recommend an aimpoint or trijicon over the huey due to battery life though. Both are sort of fire and forget, but the huey actually needs its battery changed every once in a while

2020-04-30 21:19:18 UTC

Was hoping to find one that ran on AAA

2020-04-30 21:19:33 UTC

Yeah, I think the next time I get a red dot, I'll get one that runs off of AAA or AA. Like those expensive ass Aimpoints

2020-04-30 21:19:41 UTC

Maybe save up for a Comp M5

2020-04-30 21:19:44 UTC

Aimpoint Comp M’s are the only ones hat run off AAA that I know of

2020-04-30 21:20:08 UTC

Vortex Sparc AR is great for the money. And takes a AAA

2020-04-30 21:20:26 UTC

The primary arms fixed power optics are all good. I've been using a gen 2 1-6 acss for several years landed on it when I went over a wall st tiger valley 2017 still working well BDC is dead on with 55 grain and exactly 100 yards off with prvi 75 grain range 4 hold 5 you'll get hits all day

2020-04-30 21:20:26 UTC

I’ve been digging Vortex recently

2020-04-30 21:20:27 UTC

I’ve broken a few of those - the sparc

2020-04-30 21:20:29 UTC

Primary arms makes one but i cant fins it for sals

2020-04-30 21:20:59 UTC

rule of thumb is anything that says vortex without razor next to it is only good at a range

2020-04-30 21:21:02 UTC

Sig makes a dot that runs on AAs

2020-04-30 21:21:20 UTC

Looking for a prism not a dot is my issue

2020-04-30 21:21:24 UTC

which is totally fine if you just shoot for fun

2020-04-30 21:21:28 UTC

I’m fucking *cringing* internally, but it does appear that the newer holosuns are more robust than the other budget options

2020-04-30 21:21:30 UTC

Does any company make an optic that works in meters? Instead of gay ass yards?

2020-04-30 21:21:39 UTC

Yes like most of them lol

2020-04-30 21:21:43 UTC

Holosun is king of affordable dot sights

2020-04-30 21:21:51 UTC

@Crye_Salesman ive got a holosun on my beater, pretty solid

2020-04-30 21:21:53 UTC

I’m yet to. But I’m pretty easy on my optics.

2020-04-30 21:22:01 UTC

Okay, because everything I look at online, always likes to give yards

2020-04-30 21:22:14 UTC

Opinions on ADAR 2-15

2020-04-30 21:22:14 UTC

I’m fucking violent on my shit lol

2020-04-30 21:22:24 UTC

ADAR russian, Russian = bad

2020-04-30 21:22:25 UTC

@Crye_Salesman wrecked my atv twice with it strapped to the front, it help up and held zero

2020-04-30 21:22:28 UTC

Stop playing tarkov

2020-04-30 21:22:30 UTC

I’m horrible on my rifles. Lol

2020-04-30 21:22:47 UTC

I try to break every rifle I get. 😂

2020-04-30 21:22:57 UTC

I’ve definitely had a rifle ran over with my old F250

2020-04-30 21:23:05 UTC

Eotech was still zeroed 🤷🏻‍♂️

2020-04-30 21:23:13 UTC

You shouldn't get an optic that has specific range markings unless you use the exact same ammo and setup. It's fine if you're only running say, m855a1 on a 14.5" barrel, but they're just clutter if you use different types of ammo because you can't rely on the range markings

2020-04-30 21:23:46 UTC

Vortex spitfire and Primary arms Cyclops are the two things in that category I'm aware of
