It’s worth noting most people usually can’t see past 300 yards do to environment, but I’m guesssinggg you don’t have that problem haha
@Crye_Salesman I live in an urban setting, I would benefit from a CQB setup. Just was curious. 🙂
Gotcha.
An M4/MK18 esque rifle is more useful for that vast majority of people
That being said precision assets can be a huge force multiplier if used correctly
To avoid overthinking it I'll probably figure out the upper when I get my 80% lowers finished and get a lower parts kit put in.
Seems sensible
Have I got a CQB rifle for you...
Cheap and Ballin, and clockwork reliable.
Curious what groups you get with yours
My last barrel was good for 2 moa with heavy match. Haven't tested this one yet.
Not great but not bad
Its no DMR but it will put rounds on targets
Its so easy to throw around a corner. Dropping it to eye level feels more like clearing with a glock than a rifle
I live in an urban environment so the only area longer than 100 yards is on major streets. My 11.5 does about 1moa and my 16" does about 0.8, both 1:8 and with good ammo.
@Ballsdini what, you don’t like doing CQB with a suppressed 20” AR10?
I have absolutely no experience shooting long range. Just putting dot on target
It’s not hard, if you’re not dumb haha
Shootings the easy part
FFL comes next week! Just in time lol
Some day I'd love to learn about long range shooting because science is cool, but I don't have the time or money, or really need
Your 16” sounds like enough to get you started tbh
Well I mean the kind of long range that uses nerd stuff
@Crye_Salesman sToPpInG pOwEr
Oh yeah
In fact, it’s easier to get nerdy with smaller calibers, because it gets affected faster
Whats your opinion on 300 aac vs 556?
Not bad @Zone-Tan but buy some damn optics haha
@LawlessHawk 5.56 is what I generally use, and I think is the right choice for *most* people.
I have a .300blk in a gun that is small enough that 300blk has huge advantages over 5.56, because that gun meets requirements that I have had for size
300 hits hard but drops like a rock. If you're shooting past 300 yards, go 5.56. Should have a good 5.56 rifle first anyway
I moved the one from my rec7 to my tavor and the iron on the rec7 is pretty damn good and stays zero through everything
I have a 556, but i would like to go subsonic for home defense. And ive heard 300 at subsonic is still pretty good inside 100yds
Bottom to top
Derya arms RIA V80 AR 12 GAUGE (GREEN)
Diamondback DB15 7.62X39 10" Barrel (black right side row 2)
CZU Shadow 2 in 9mm (blue handle, top row 2)
IWU Travor X95 Bullpup in 5.56 (fde, row 3)
Springfield M1A 6.5 creed (row 4)
Ruger precision rifle 6.5 creed (row 5)
Dan Wesson TCP in 45 ACP (row 5 under the Ruger)
Glock 21 gen 4 in 45 ACP (row 5 in front of bipod)
Barret Rec7 gen 2 in 5.56 (silver, left side length of table)
Subsonic suppressed 300 is very fun
Ffs that's smaller on my notepad app sorry
Just mark your mags very clearly because 300 will chamber in a 5.56 upper and ruin your day
@Artemis id probably have two different sets of mags. Theres a guy i live by who does laser engraving on the weekends, i may check into have my mags engraved
