Ah kk
My american is sub moa with shitty Malaysian brass
I need to do a true accuracy test with good ammo and see if I can get it closer
I borrowed an American from my uncle for a hunting trip once, seemed like a pretty nice rifle
For 300 bucks idk if you can beat it
Savages axis IIs are nice but they don’t feel as good to me
And ruger stepped up with after market, you can get upgraded handles, bolt groups, add a different trigger if you want, barrels and stocks
Magpul and Boyd’s both make stocks for the older ones to take AICS mags and the new ones come factory with them
Mine will hit plates all day long at 600, and there are guys taking the 308 stock rugers out to 1000
I wouldn't trust those rifles for 1k shots reliably, hahaha. But 600 and less, I think they hold up.
I have an axis, I think its gen 1, price of shit has trouble ejecting
The gen 1s suck
The IIs with accutrigger are a ton nicer
And yeah especially my ruger being 16” I’m honestly surprised it does so well at 600 no issues
My only complaint are the rotary mags
Mine Hs never jammed like others but it’s flimsy and cheap feeling
The 5r sounds good to start with. Apparently the stock on the aac sd can flex and contact the barrel
Interesting
Oh, is the 5r magazine fed?
Yeah, the 5R barrel is one of the most accurate production barrels I’ve shot. Yeah I think so. They can all be magazine fed fairly easily
Hey, whoever isnt at work right now, lets go running. 10k
get off your fat ass with me lol
Looking at the 700 magpul enhanced. It has the same barrel but a magpul stock and takes magpul detachable magazines
Plus a rail for scope mounts and a bipod mount unlike the regular magpul one
fine ill go run by myself....
That’s definitely a good option @Artemis
saving up for a scope is gonna be interesting lol
Lol this man thought I could run a 10k
I think I may save up for the scope first while doing research, then buy a rifle to mount it to
That’s the real professional move
That is literally, the best way to go about it, haha.
weird, there's a few articles saying mil dot is better than moa but almost everything out there is moa. I don't have any practical experience with both, I just know moa is something like 1.04something inches per 100 yards and mil dot is what the marines use I think
currently looking at the nightforce shv 5-20x56. I kinda want the nxs 5.5-22x56 but it's expeeeensive
Anyone have experience with 5.11 plate carriers
ah lovely, apparently mil reticle + moa turrets = mind numbing algebra. Going to avoid that
Now for people to work on improving the design
Ever look at guns you're considering buying and wonder how they can be so different?
In this case an Enfield, and a KSG
