It would have to be a base and then configurable options
That’s basics.
Oh the ironic bit is psa slapping a g$ rail on their shit

@Artemis
And the FN barrels
They've had fn barrels as long as I remember
PSA spec FN barrels that are installed improperly
There we go lol
Probably whatever fn barrels happen to be left over and didn't make spec for other brands
Psa is buying FN barrels outright for their more Gucci line
Same with their AKs
their ak's are decent. My beef with them is the tolerances on their ar's that lead to issues such as catastrophic failure
though as a distributer they're fantastic, great customer service supposedly
I think they are getting better, the good things like you said if you find an issue you can call them and get a replacement ez
I'm just sitting here counting down the paychecks until I can put together my next rifle x.x
I suppose I should get a wish list put together lol.
And I don't mean wish.com
If you don’t buy gear from wish you are weak
I'm not smart enough to be able to tell if it's in spec or not
when you order a solvent trap then come home to find your wife and dog murdered by some obese guy with a badge
Just expect what you get for the price you pay and your fine
Sometimes it's slightly better than the price
Sometimes it's worse
What jigs do you guys recommend?
I'm thinking a router jig. 5D Tactical or Easy Jig 2 or Router Jig Extreme.. ideally I'd get a GhostGunner 3 with a cheap jig, but that's way beyond my budget.
Again, PSA is buying barrels *made* by FN, but it is to whatever spec and QA/QC that PSA provide, so it is not the same thing as an FN M4 barrel, and it is certainly not the same thing as an FN HDSI barrel
@Bogs_Bunny by in spec do you mean the parts themselves are in spec, or the build you are putting together will be operable?
@Crye_Salesman parts themselves. But operable as a whole too I suppose
I was gonna say the operable as a whole thing can be done with research. Inspection and spec of parts is partly trust in the company and partly verififying for yourself
I was saving for a PSA CHF 16 or 20in barrel rifle are they bad I thought milspec and FN barrel were good

Any of you guys into 3d printing gun parts, these guys are offering a massive discount on both PLA and PETG filaments. I just got the 10 lb spool of clear PETG because the idea of making clear magazines is awesome. Coupon code FIGHTCOVID.
anyone have experience doing a form 1 suppressor build? I'm interested in looking into it, and as much as I dislike giving the government money, I kinda want a suppressor without having to wait a year.
or is it just better to buy a manufactured one and wait?
@[TX]YimYam they’re definitely not great. The biggest problem is that they don’t really QA/QC stuff, so you might get a gun with a completely mis-aligned gas block, etc. the parts individually are still ‘meh’, but at least assembled right it’ll they should work for a bit
I mean what’s better for about $650? If there’s a QC issue you can send it back to be fixed right? Just run it really hard and find the issues.
Yes, PSA, at least says that they will fix it. But you don’t want to find one of those issues at the critical moment.
I will personally help you hunt down a bargain so you can have a more duty grade rifle
By bargain you mean buying piece by piece? I don’t have a vice and the tools needed to build one
A pipe wrench and some elbow grease is all you need
That is just incredibly wrong. Although that is actually how BCA does it. And no, I meant buying a used upper/lower or rifle
Used seems like a bad idea tho if something wrong no warranty at all
