I mean you could inspect and gauge them first
I got 2, lol hopefully ones good lol
If you have a friend who has the tools, yeah.
Theyre stripped, not 80%
Well yeah, that's what we're talking about.
You know what though. Honestly, if the dimensions are right... so long as you put decent parts inside. You might actually be alright.
The problems will either be spec (things sized wrong) which you could check with some basic hand tools for most of those.
Or metallurgy, which you won’t really know until it breaks, or you see cracks, etc
For sure, hoping to get them today if the background check isn't delayed
Let's see what kinda metal they use.. To google!
Says it's 7075 T6 aluminum
7075 T6 aluminum... and they claim it's Mil-spec
@Soulraiser vortex has a great warranty . If your looking at other options primary arms also makes great prism scope but that ACSS reticle primary arms uses is 👌
7075 aluminium alloy is an aluminium alloy, with zinc as the primary alloying element. It has excellent mechanical properties, and exhibits good ductility, high strength, toughness and good resistance to fatigue. It is more susceptible to embrittlement than many other aluminium alloys because of microsegregation, but has significantly better corrosion resistance than the 2000 alloys. It is one of the most commonly used aluminium alloy for highly stressed structural applications, and has been extensively utilized in aircraft structural parts.
You might actually be okay.
I would just.... hide the logo. Hahaha
I read some reviews on it.. but it was obviously written by a poor. (lol) From what I can find, the stripped lowers don't seem to have any issues.
Just fill it with good parts and I think you'll be alright.
They had a bad batch back in 2015 apparently. But their newer lowers are okay for the most part from what I keep reading.
I have definitely seen *wildly* out of spec Anderson lowers. Like pivot pin holes not even vaguely aligned, receiver extensions threaded completely off center, etc. Now, you could get a good one, and it could run fine for a good while. But just cause it’s stripped and the ‘correct’ material, doesn’t mean they did anything else right
@[CA] SoyBoi my biggest recommendation would be to measure things and carefully test fit each part
Where can I find the specs? I have the tools to measure but need to know what the right readings are
Yeah, all the bad stuff I'm reading about, that you described seem to be from years ago. I can't find anything bad that's new... but they had issues with the roll pins not being the right size, the magazine channels being too thin... And burrs on the machining.
But, I haven't seen anything in the recent past.
@[LA] Zoomer Medi/k/ do you happen to have the lower specs handy in a link? I could find them later
Nice. I would mostly be worried about the dimension, location, and concentricity of the all the pin holes
Thanks guys
Imma measure it up and find a sticker to hide the logo 😳
Hahaha, just don't hide the serial number XD Unless you're ready for that.
Serial number? Wat is serial number? Lol
Damn haven't picked them up and already lost them 😭
Hahahaha
Tragic, bad idea to go boating with new reveivers 😭 0/10 wouldn't recommend

@Crye_Salesman
No, I don’t have the TDP.
Someone posted it already, thanks. Well the dimensions, not the tdp
The TDP is the shit
Just don’t know where to find.
Got some trigger time like 20 minutes ago. Worked on some things such as making mag changes without looking and keeping my damn eyes open even when shooting. Alleviated both.
Daddy Thumb gives some good advice, I'd recommend watching it whether you're all gucci'ed up or not. He doesn't even poor shame. Just good solid advice, especially for some of the newbies.
I like garand thumb hes always has good points
Yeah Garden thump is aight
