They had a bad batch back in 2015 apparently. But their newer lowers are okay for the most part from what I keep reading.
I have definitely seen *wildly* out of spec Anderson lowers. Like pivot pin holes not even vaguely aligned, receiver extensions threaded completely off center, etc. Now, you could get a good one, and it could run fine for a good while. But just cause it’s stripped and the ‘correct’ material, doesn’t mean they did anything else right
@[CA] SoyBoi my biggest recommendation would be to measure things and carefully test fit each part
Where can I find the specs? I have the tools to measure but need to know what the right readings are
Yeah, all the bad stuff I'm reading about, that you described seem to be from years ago. I can't find anything bad that's new... but they had issues with the roll pins not being the right size, the magazine channels being too thin... And burrs on the machining.
But, I haven't seen anything in the recent past.
@[LA] Zoomer Medi/k/ do you happen to have the lower specs handy in a link? I could find them later
Nice. I would mostly be worried about the dimension, location, and concentricity of the all the pin holes
Thanks guys
Imma measure it up and find a sticker to hide the logo 😳
Hahaha, just don't hide the serial number XD Unless you're ready for that.
Serial number? Wat is serial number? Lol
Damn haven't picked them up and already lost them 😭
Hahahaha
Tragic, bad idea to go boating with new reveivers 😭 0/10 wouldn't recommend

@Crye_Salesman
No, I don’t have the TDP.
Someone posted it already, thanks. Well the dimensions, not the tdp
The TDP is the shit
Just don’t know where to find.
Got some trigger time like 20 minutes ago. Worked on some things such as making mag changes without looking and keeping my damn eyes open even when shooting. Alleviated both.
Daddy Thumb gives some good advice, I'd recommend watching it whether you're all gucci'ed up or not. He doesn't even poor shame. Just good solid advice, especially for some of the newbies.
I like garand thumb hes always has good points
Yeah Garden thump is aight
Added it to my Watch Later playlist
Lower I’m looking at buying. Aero lower and BCM parts kit. What do y’all think?
I think it's a decent purchase. Aero is decent Intermediate, haven't had any issues with them. And BCM never dissapoints.
I think it would work well.
Yup, Crye stamp of approval
Cool. My neighbor is a shooting instructor and he said it would be a good buy as well. I’m poor but I want to buy decent gear.
That is a great attitude and plan to have.
You have the SOTAR cult approval
Brownell's can eat of bag of dicks.
Not brownells fault at all but okay?
I’ve also been experimenting with home made armor. Saving up for RMA or Hoplite stuff but wanted to learn how to make halfway decent shit for if shit really really goes down. Pretty happy with this first plate. Gonna wack it with a 12ga magnum slug and a SKS this weekend. Happy with it so far.
I am simultaneously mad and impressed
Why are you mad lol?
@Crye_Salesman
I know it's not their fault, but still BS.
Because I would generally consider that to be a terrible idea, but your product and results actually look decent
I build a lot of crazy shit. I watched the one vid of the dude that made the home made plate, and did it better. I used a fiberglass microfiber and a fiberglass bonding agent and used more layers+ had consistent pressure over the entire product, and used a garage to keep a more consistent temperature to cure it.
I’m gonna order some dirt cheap steel plates to be able to make them curved.
