Okay, so I just watched a video. The VG6 does have a bit more flash coming out the front of the device. The A2 does not eliminate all flash either though. But the A2 does have slightly better flash suppression.

I wish suppressors were legal in Minnesota ☹️

2020-05-07 19:00:49 UTC

Wait, they're not? That's communism!

Also, I'm absolutely not telling you to buy oil filters. But sometimes those cars need new oil filters.

@[CA] SoyBoi magnifiers do have to be zeroed. And un zeroed magnifiers can throw you several MOA. and some of the mounts don’t really work

> Also is the barrel and handguard aero, or something that store is claiming as their own?
@Crye_Salesman
The barrel and handguard are not aero, let me get the specs here in a minute or two

Eh using my magnifiers I never had any issues . All I did was zero my red dot and toss a magnifier on and it was fine

2020-05-07 20:54:12 UTC

What magnifier/red dot combo would y'all recommend? Not against trying something new.

2020-05-07 20:57:03 UTC

Depends on your budget? If you want cost efficient, AT3 makes a combo for like 200-300 I think? It's been alright for me. If you don't care about price, can't go wrong with EO Tech

> Eh using my magnifiers I never had any issues . All I did was zero my red dot and toss a magnifier on and it was fine
@TacticalBeard that’s gonna be a naw Chief. Chuck p and Aaron Cowan would disagree

2020-05-07 21:07:10 UTC

Care to link sources ?

2020-05-07 21:14:51 UTC

@Soulraiser the smaller the dot the better so somthing like the 1 MOA dot of the eotech or Leupolds new red dot would be ideal.

I liked the MRO but my astigmatism favored the eotech so I sold the 2MOA MRO. Aimpont is another gold standard red dot but I personally like the wide objective lense of the MRO way more than the aimpoints

2020-05-07 21:20:11 UTC

Jesus christ @TacticalBeard ; idk if I want to spend $1k on an optic... Definitely looking a little more budget friendly than that. That said, every eotech I've ever used was the most blurry SOB that made the optic borderline unusable. I'll have to do more research on this magnifier thing..

2020-05-07 21:24:34 UTC

I need to train.

2020-05-07 21:26:33 UTC

@Soulraiser sounds like you have astigmatism and need to avoide red dots and holosights all together

2020-05-07 21:28:15 UTC

I've never had issues with any other red dots. Just eotech. My vision is actually quite a bit better than average.

2020-05-07 21:31:40 UTC

Thinking I'll just stick to grabbing a vortex spitfire 3x. Price just makes sense and I've had amazing luck with them in the past. I'll just have to mount my irons canted.

2020-05-07 21:37:21 UTC

@Crye_Salesman I feel like an idiot lol yes i zero my red dot and then adjust the magnifier. For some reason I thought we were talking about no matter what you do a magnifier will mess with your zero/poi shift.

Great videos btw

Is Andersons Manufacturing AR15 lowers any good? I got 2 (they were the only ones available i could find)

2020-05-07 21:42:11 UTC

Ooooo... ooooo.. no baby girl what is you doin...

2020-05-07 21:42:27 UTC

👀 that bad?

2020-05-07 21:42:39 UTC

Poverty Pony is known for having issues...

2020-05-07 21:42:51 UTC

🙃 fuk

2020-05-07 21:43:00 UTC

Better than no AR i guess lol

2020-05-07 21:43:12 UTC

Will it go bang and your on a tight budget yes. Are there better options yes

2020-05-07 21:43:17 UTC

Well who knows... you might have gotten okay ones.

2020-05-07 21:43:34 UTC

Their QC is why no one actually recommends them though.

2020-05-07 21:43:41 UTC

I'd take PSA over them any day at this point.

2020-05-07 21:43:42 UTC

As long as it holds I'm good, I can upgrade later

2020-05-07 21:44:03 UTC

Really, the only way to see if they'll last, is take them out and shoot them.

2020-05-07 21:44:12 UTC

If they do okay then, you'll be alright.

2020-05-07 21:44:25 UTC

I mean you could inspect and gauge them first

2020-05-07 21:44:29 UTC

I got 2, lol hopefully ones good lol

2020-05-07 21:44:38 UTC

If you have a friend who has the tools, yeah.

2020-05-07 21:44:50 UTC

Theyre stripped, not 80%

2020-05-07 21:45:04 UTC

Well yeah, that's what we're talking about.

2020-05-07 21:45:32 UTC

You know what though. Honestly, if the dimensions are right... so long as you put decent parts inside. You might actually be alright.

2020-05-07 21:45:57 UTC

The problems will either be spec (things sized wrong) which you could check with some basic hand tools for most of those.
Or metallurgy, which you won’t really know until it breaks, or you see cracks, etc

2020-05-07 21:46:11 UTC

For sure, hoping to get them today if the background check isn't delayed
