I've of the best to suppress as well

2020-05-08 13:20:02 UTC

12.5 and 18 are the two barrel lengths that have done me well. Stupid accurate out of the 12.5 even at 400-500 yards. I was shocked

2020-05-08 13:52:12 UTC

The military doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to adopting new rifles and calibers. I won't believe it until it's in widespread use

2020-05-08 15:38:42 UTC

@Crye_Salesman I come into the same issue. Nods takes AA, laser takes AAA, sight takes CR2032, and light takes CR123s.

2020-05-08 15:46:21 UTC

That’s just on my helmet though 😭 I have other stuff in my rifle

2020-05-08 15:47:58 UTC

Hahaha, what you run for your rifle setup?

2020-05-08 16:29:47 UTC

Modlite 18650 OKW, Aimpoint micro, DBAL

2020-05-08 16:33:49 UTC

How are Modlites? I've never used one. Any reason you went with them over Streamlight or Surefire?

2020-05-08 16:40:05 UTC

However, I think I'm gonna upgrade to a DBAL in the future if I end up getting better NODs

2020-05-08 16:47:46 UTC

I'm a poor, so I'd probably run irons for a while before I could get decent optics.

2020-05-08 16:54:06 UTC

Nothing wrong with that so long as you aren't one of those "Iron sights are better than optics" tards.

2020-05-08 16:54:46 UTC

But honestly, you can get like a TRS-25 micro-dot and it'll work until you can get something better. They can be had for under 100 bucks easily.

2020-05-08 16:55:39 UTC

@Bogs_Bunny look into the Sightmark ultra shot plus.

2020-05-08 16:56:06 UTC

While knowing how to use irons is important (in my opinion), saying they're superior to optics is ridiculous.

2020-05-08 16:56:50 UTC

Everyone should train and learn iron sights first. Then move to optics. You need your base and fundamentals before you can become advanced.

2020-05-08 16:57:18 UTC

And I'm iffy on Sightmark... I've used their redots before and they seem to lose zero.

2020-05-08 16:58:02 UTC

And the whole 'change your reticle' feature on them is just asking to lose zero and fuck up your parallax

2020-05-08 17:02:32 UTC

If you're cool spending 100 though, AT3 makes a decent red dot. Haven't ran into problems with mine.

2020-05-08 17:03:18 UTC

It's not going to have that awesome Aimpoint durability. But from everything I can tell, as long as you're not using your red dot as a hammer and tossing it around everywhere, you shouldn't have an issue.

2020-05-08 17:21:03 UTC

Need help picking out some level 4 ceramic plates, trying to budget but I know there life saving just give some suggestions/options

2020-05-08 17:25:30 UTC

> Everyone should train and learn iron sights first. Then move to optics. You need your base and fundamentals before you can become advanced.
@Sparrow iron sights are not a fundamental part of shooting, and it’s actually wayyy more productive to learn on a red dot first, and then learn irons later.

2020-05-08 17:26:54 UTC

I've heard something named like Romeo is a good budget optic.

2020-05-08 17:27:44 UTC

What? And how do you recon that? Learning a red dot is way easier, sure. But it's an aid. How would it not be better to learn Irons first?

2020-05-08 17:28:24 UTC

Reminds me of the fundamentals of Kali / Escrima. They start with armed combat and move to unarmed after someone is experienced, as at the time, they needed to train people how to effectively fight the Spaniards, then working on the more difficult and less used unarmed combat later.

2020-05-08 17:30:38 UTC

My whole thing is. Irons are your backups, if your dot goes down, you need to know how to use your Irons.

2020-05-08 17:30:43 UTC

anyone have any good advice on chem gear any places they bought from for gas masks gloves hoods and all that jazz

2020-05-08 17:30:45 UTC

So learn on Irons, then move to dots

2020-05-08 17:30:59 UTC

Oh uhhh, shit. One second Kai

2020-05-08 17:31:35 UTC

@Bogs_Bunny yea the sig Romeo is a decent low cost red dot.

When staying cheap Vortex and Primary arms are your best friend entry lvl red dots/prisms/LVPOs

2020-05-08 17:31:53 UTC

Guys my plates are almost here, I'm spying on the UPS man on their map lol
