I'm in tight quarters. Don't want a damn stamp though.

2020-05-13 01:23:20 UTC

Not too much of a weight difference though not many people make 20

2020-05-13 01:23:43 UTC

Pistol build

2020-05-13 01:23:57 UTC

I wouldn't go 20 unless you're gonna be a designated marksman or something

2020-05-13 01:24:06 UTC

Definitely want to run good heavy ammo for both close and long range. It just works better

2020-05-13 01:24:08 UTC

That’s why I’m going 20

2020-05-13 01:24:08 UTC

Damn..was gonna say I know good people up there..ways off from you though

2020-05-13 01:24:18 UTC

62 grain FBIT3

2020-05-13 01:24:28 UTC

I want a Block 2 CQBR

2020-05-13 01:24:36 UTC

Seriously, barrier blind soft points are the best overall ammo imo

2020-05-13 01:24:40 UTC

The 16 would work just fine like I said its anywhere from country to downtown Charleston around me, weight isn't a huge deal. As long as its not unreasonable

2020-05-13 01:24:41 UTC

My buddy has a nice ar pistol with an RMR short barrel.. when I SOT we are gonna build him a nice SBR

2020-05-13 01:24:42 UTC

And in data’s opinion

2020-05-13 01:24:59 UTC

If you're building, you can even get up to 24-26" competition barrels but i wouldn't recommend it. Super heavy

2020-05-13 01:25:11 UTC

Nah, after 20 it’s not really worth it

2020-05-13 01:25:16 UTC

Unless you change caliber

2020-05-13 01:25:30 UTC

I’m getting a 20 inch 6.5 grendel for my DMR rig

2020-05-13 01:25:31 UTC

Your right! Weight is key, I'm a 762x51 kinda guy myself

2020-05-13 01:25:47 UTC

People who run those 24" barrels roll their own ammo formulated specifically for their barrel

2020-05-13 01:25:52 UTC

Nothing wrong with that, I just don’t trust many Ar10s

2020-05-13 01:26:03 UTC

I’d trust an FAL or G3 if you don’t reload tho

2020-05-13 01:26:27 UTC

I'm looking at century's C308s

2020-05-13 01:26:41 UTC

Aero precision is actually the go to for building competition ar10's. They'll use the receivers then stick something like a compass lake engineering Krieger barrel on

2020-05-13 01:26:46 UTC

Wouldn’t reccomend for duty use but they’re decent range guns

2020-05-13 01:26:50 UTC

Also century is garbage

2020-05-13 01:26:58 UTC

Century imports god

2020-05-13 01:27:00 UTC

Good

2020-05-13 01:27:07 UTC

Built by century equals no

2020-05-13 01:27:12 UTC

Never fired a rifle larger than .22LR 🤷‍♂️ so I wouldn't know what round I'd feel like having.

2020-05-13 01:27:44 UTC

The PTR91 is infinitely superior to the c308

2020-05-13 01:27:54 UTC

2020-05-13 01:28:06 UTC

It would be my dmr if it didn’t destroy brass

2020-05-13 01:29:05 UTC

Had one for a while, super fun, indestructible, and will make you look like a left handed incel with how heavy the charging handle is

2020-05-13 01:29:14 UTC

Ha

2020-05-13 01:29:16 UTC

Get stronk after a while

2020-05-13 01:29:49 UTC

@Bogs_Bunny standard AR-15 calibers aren't a big shock, now when you get into .308 and such is where the fun begins

2020-05-13 01:30:23 UTC

Once you get up into 308, things get a little interesting. You have to pay a pretty penny if you want both reliability and accuracy in an auto loading 308

2020-05-13 01:31:34 UTC

Jeez

2020-05-13 01:33:35 UTC

FAL is nice and will shoot around 2moa give or take but you can't get a good clone, only built from parts.
G3 is fun though a bit dated. Can expect 1-1.5moa, or pay a bit to have it modified into a 16 pound monster that shoots 0.5moa.
M1a should be avoided at all costs. Books could be written on the problems it has, and if you sneeze too hard around it, you can expect 8moa.
