Ain't that the truth. A lot of stuff gets sold for 30-40 overcost on average.
My acog was 1200 at shop cost. My SLR TiN bcg was 229 after tax. Shop paid 200.
So not a whole lot of profit at all
Oof. That's disappointing. I used to want to sell gun parts.
> Oof. That's disappointing. I used to want to sell gun parts.
@Potatoes O'Reilly yeah it only gets profitable once you get to being a distributor or manufacturer
I wanted to manufacture parts, but CNC mills be expensive.
Well extremely profitable
Cheap cnc that's used and big enough for a lower receiver is around 30k
I'm looking forward to getting ammo manufacturing going. Should be up in a month or two and ammo is getting scarcer.
@Drunk Trooper are you type 7?
> @Drunk Trooper are you type 7?
@bravoN7 what type of what?
Diabeetus. š
Lol, FFL?
yeah, manufacturing firearms and ammo
you can do a lot of stuff but supposedly it's a pain in the dick because the ATF can harass you for papers if they feel like it
Honestly kinda wanna become a garage ffl just so my buds can do transfers and shit dirt cheap
Type 3!
i feel like its not worth the hassle of dealing with the ATF
@Mountain Man š oh... it's not easy dealing with literally pointless bureaucracy
My dad knows a guy who has a form 7 just so they can keep their machinegun collection, but the ATF constantly harasses them for records of all of their firearms and sales for no discernable reason
Yep, I have a type 7 mostly so I can mass produce ammo! For the Republic!
it's a shame too since his collection is basically a private museum, lots of relics. I wanna say they had a couple of lmg's with sequential serial numbers
That's why they are harassing them, new ATF rules don't allow collectors to skirt the "rules". They want folks to get the type 3 for collecting and curios
I can make machine gun "samples" that are not for sale... muahahaha
I'm half tempted to get a binary trigger but I don't know how reliable they are
I don't *need* rapid fire, but the government doesn't *need* to be a bunch of bitches either. I do need a trigger that will work every time though.
But then I have to be ITAR compliant and that's a huge can of worms. Binary triggers are not a great option other than range toys, but they are relatively safe and reliable
Yea Iām interested in putting one of those frostech echo triggers
Being a manufacturer I'm pretty sure means you can no longer engage in private sales. Every transaction has to be a 4473 transaction. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The only issue I've seen with the fostech echo 2 seems to be light strikes if your buffer isn't heavy enough, which is a weird issue but it really is the buffer weight
Only sales through my store, I can still do a p2p sale but not from the company stock
Oh thank God. I wouldn't even consider it for a second if it meant no more p2p.
Lol
I'm going to crash early tonight, the ass crack of dawn comes early!
Who's Dawn and can I come in her ass crack too?
> Who's Dawn and can I come in her ass crack too?
@Minuteman1969
Can't share all my secrets!
Bwahahahaha!!
I really need a new scope for my garbage rod that is cheap enough for the "peasant revolt" motif but hardy enough that it doesn't break on the first shot
Noooo!
