present a convincing exterior which even they believe

internally consistent too, hence they are great at lying

but in fact a doublethink process is occuring, where in the moment they are fully playing the part

but it's ultimately completely insincere

sociopaths are therefore likely to make excellent actors or conmen

as long as they don't have other issues

I suspect most, or all, self help types are sociopaths

as they are basically predators and people who need self-help books etc. are their prey

vulnerable people who want to strengthen themselves or better themselves

credulous people

this can be anyone, even apparently strong people, if they have one or two domains in which they lack and perceive themselves to lack

this is broadly true; other aspects of self help also contain a multitude of sociopaths

specifically the fitness world (where I know for sure)

and the pick-up/game world (where I suspect)

all of these people are literal gurus, of the indian sort, and if people knew what the qualities of the true guru are they would not be so easily fooled by these people
