Congress shouldn't be paid

Even better- Constituencies should decide the pay of their members of Congress by referendum

Congress being paid is an anti-oligarchy move

The idea being that someone doesn’t have to be independently wealthy to hold office

A better alternative would be audit the rich and audit the feds

Though I am for privately lifestyle and don't think people need to give out personally information on their lives. I do think audit of huge companies like Wal-Mart and amazon should be audit

Because those companies in most cases have a monopoly on a lot of product

We had more growth and equitable distribution when taxes were higher

Here's the problem of you keep taxes high on the rich they will leave with their businesses

That's why I think audits would be safer and more economic

High taxes is the reason why businesses left for China and Mexico

And if you keep taxing the rich they will just keep their money offshore

Then audit them

This is what a wealth tax lets you do

Most of the companies people think relocated to Mexico (auto manufacturing) actually relocated to the American Southwest

And the ones that did relocate did so for labor costs

Those companies are still based in the US, most in Delaware.
