hi! my names olivia. i'm a transsexual woman. (yes, transgender/transsexual inherently mean the same thing, i just have a preference for the term transsexual because it sounds waaaay cooler.) this means when i was born, i developed normally as a male, but my brain developed certain female characteristics that caused me to develop a very specific medical condition (or disorder, however you'd like to put it is fine) called gender dysphoria. gender dysphoria is the disconnect socially, anatomically, and mentally with your assigned birth sex. this is what makes someone transsexual or transgender.
so, because of this i feel as though i have a certain responsibility or at least a personal interest to write here and give my stance on gender; prepare for a wall of text.
