Never true
I don't see any signs that point to that either
> In 1975 (-/+) scientists claimed there was a ice-cold climate ahead of us

1975 scientists when global warming was heavily debated vs current scientists where climate change (the now overall carbon emmissions effect on the world) are not the same scientists running off the same info
They've adapted, grown, and developed their studies and have reached a point surrounding the enviornment
What are they saying now then? When will the earth be gone?
@luduma you can look up UN enviornmental reports or Google up enviornmental reports and see them yourself
You're talking about these reports? Well let me give you an example:

Don't think it's true, do you?
thats about environmental refugees, not about the state of the environment
try again
well, what's the reason for those refugees then, if it isn't "the state of the environment"?
and my point was that those reports aren't reliable
thats an example
so try again * uses uno reverse card *
I said you can look up environmental reports on how scientist discuss the effects of carbon emissions on the environment and you pulled a completely different topic out of nowhere.
Also, people become refugees for more than just the environment. I hope you know that
I am not
How are they unreliable then since that is your claim
have there been 50 million refugees because of climate yet?
over the entire span of history or recently? I could say there could have been
no since 2005
between droughts, floods, and other changes to communities that make it hard for people to live there perhaps
-_-
the climate has been changing since the world existed and will change until the world dies (not because of climate change 🙂)
oh damn, who knew. So since even you know that the climate has been changing you recognize that it is trending towards more extreme weather that we have not seen before right? And that mankind has a hand in how the earth is changing as well right?
like, no shit climate changes but since industrialization there have been increasing changes

Tell me, what is the first sentence?
`Climate change may not be responsible for the recent skyrocketing cost of natural disasters, but it is very likely that it will impact future catastrophes`

literally above the first sentence
First, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, an increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere will probably boost temperatures over most land surfaces, though the exact change will vary regionally
hmmmm... why wouldn't they update it anymore?
another line in your article
More uncertain—but possible—outcomes of an increase in global temperatures include increased risk of drought and increased intensity of storms, including tropical cyclones with higher wind speeds, a wetter Asian monsoon, and, possibly, more intense mid-latitude storms. (For more information, see Global Warming: Potential Effects of Global Warming)
will probably
that one is at the end of that first paragraph
